a person can change so rapidly
and their old self
is gone forever
lost in the depths of insanity
and you can never get it back,
no matter how hard you try

sadness can reign over a person
until they are driven to the edge
and look for an escape
they then make an irreversible mistake
and i wonder
if they would have regretted doing it
had they been able to see
what they had done

i look at the changes
that have come over myself
and am not happy
sometimes i think about the old me
and how happy it was
and then i think about now
and the only thing
that comes to mind is :
what if i slip, and let myself go?
it wouldnt matter, no one would know

you see,
