These are some of my GEILS ancestors and relatives. Most of them came from

*Johan GEILS (other information unknown) had a son, also named Johan GEILS, who was born on 04 April 1669, in Lesumstotel. Around 1693, he married a woman named Gretje (born in 1665). I know of three children:
- Beke GEILS - born in September 1694, in Lesumstotel,
- Gesche GEILS - born on 23 February 1697/1698, in Lesumstotel,
- Anna Hedwig GEILS - born on 08 April 1701, in Lesumstotel; died 16 September 1776, in Lesumstotel. Anna Hedwig GEILS married Albert KOESTER (born 06 May 1704), on 29 November 1725, at Sankt Martini, in Lesum, Hannover, Prussia. They had at least four children.
*Johan GEILS was married to a woman with the surname of HUTTE. They had a son, Seband GEILS, who was born in 1723; and died on 16 October 1799, in Lesumstotel. Seband married Gretje KOESTER (born 14 July 1726), on 09 June 1752, at Sankt Martini, in Lesum. Seband and Gretje had a daughter, Anna GEILS, who was born on 17 March 1765; and baptized on 21 March 1765, at Sankt Martini, in Lesum.
*Seband GEILS married Beke GEILS on 16 November 1762, at Sankt Martini. This appears to be a GEILS marrying a GEILS. I know of two daughters:
- Anna GEILS -She was born on 02 Jul 1773, in Lesumstotel; baptized 04 July 1773, at Sankt Martini; and died on 27 November 1847, in Lesumstotel. Anna married Dierk KOESTER (born 20 February 1773), on 05 July 1799, at Sankt Martini. They had at least seven children. (more information)
- Beke GEILS - born 1783; baptized on 20 July 1783, at Sankt Martini.
*Gerdrut Anna GEILS - born about 1767, in Lesumstotel; died 15 June 1832, in Ihlpohl, Hannover, Prussia. Gerdrut married Johan KOESTER (born 1764), on 16 May 1794, at Sankt Martini. They had at least five children. (more information)
*Margarethe GEILS - born 1807, in Lesumstotel; died 21 April 1880, in Ihlpohl. Margarethe married Hinrich KOESTER (born 16 March 1809), on 31 January 1834, at Sankt Martini. They had at least five children.
*Hinrich GEILS - born in Lesumstotel; died before 27 March 1896. Hinrich married Catharina KOESTER (born 15 June 1838), in about 1873, at Sankt Martini. I know of two children:
- Heinrich GEILS - born 12 April 1874, in Ihlpohl; baptized on 21 April 1874, at Sankt Martini; died 23 March 1875, in Ihlpohl.
- Margarethe GEILS - born 12 April 1877, in Ihlpohl; baptized on 27 May 1877, at Sankt Martini; and died on 01 November 1885, in Ihlpohl
*Anna GEILS - born March 1871, in Werschenge; died 26 September 1923, in Werschenge. Anna married Johan KOESTER (born 26 November 1869), on 15 April 1906, at Sankt Martini. They had at least three children.
