The Three Gardens

The Three Gardens

I walk through the Garden
in the cool of the evening,
and softly You whisper my name.
But I hear only thunder
and I start to tremble,
suddenly nothing's the same.
I hide in the shadows
as I see that I'm naked,
I know I have no one to blame!
I cry out in sorrow,
I cry out for mercy,
I cry out in hope of Your name.

I kneel in the Garden
and the darkness surrounds me,
and softly I whisper Your name.
But my prayers go unanswered
and I hear only thunder,
suddenly nothing's the same.
My cup's filled with sorrow,
the sin overwhelms Me
as I carry all of the blame.
I cry out in sorrow,
for I AM Your mercy
and I AM the hope of Your name!

I run through the Garden
as a new day is dawning,
and softly You whisper my name.
But my spirit trembles,
my heart beats like thunder,
suddenly nothing's the same.
I saw when they killed You,
I watched where they laid You,
I know how You died for my blame.
I cry not in sorrow,
for I feel Your mercy
and I have the hope of Your name!
