It was an incredible night. The jellicles returned to the junkyard a mess, covered with food and slop. Ectetera shook herself trying to get the cream pudding out of her fur. The jellicles had gone to one of Bustopher's midnight clubs and what should have been a delightful, evening get-together turned out to be a horrible, chaotic, disaster, thanks to the mischievious kitten BlueBell. Never meaning to do any of it on purpose, this kitten always seems to cause trouble and her parents, Munkustrap and Demeter, were getting tired of it. BlueBell was sent off to bed while Munkustrap called Jennyanydots over. "This job of being a father is really hard. I don't know what to do with BlueBell. Is it because I'm a bad father?" Jenny smiled, "Yes, I must agree, she is a handful but I have a question; How strict are you on your litter?" Munkustrap frowned, "Are you saying she's spoiled?" Jenny shrugged, "I like to call it a lack of disapline. You have set no boundaries to hold her back so she goes as far as possible." "So you're saying I need to be more strict." "Exactly, you must teach her to be well-behaved." Early the next day, Munkustrap took BlueBell to Bustopher Jones for her to apoligize for last night's incedent. "No." BlueBell said as she continued to play with a ball of aluminum foil. "Your behavior last night was terrible. You must go and apologize now." he ordered. "Please don't make me. I'm too ashamed to face him again." Munkustrap began to back down when he saw the plead in her eyes but immediatly he straightened himself up and said stirnly, "No, you will go now!" BlueBell was shocked, "Why are you being persistant? I'm already sorry for last night. It was all an accident. It's not like I plan it all out!" Munkustrap's voice rose, "Get your fury butt over to Bustopher Jones and apologize right now!" "NO!!" she yelled. Just then Munkustrap struck her left sided thigh causing her to fall to the ground. BlueBell looked up at her father with tearfull eyes and cried, "I hate you!" and she scurried off out of the junkyard. Hours later, RumTumTugger was on his way to the junkyard when he heard crying from the bushes next to him. He moved the leaves out of the way and was surprised to see BlueBell. "What are you doing in here? Your father is looking frantically for you." "I never want to see him again!" she replied spitefully. "Well why don't you come out and tell good old Tugger what happened. So the kitten emerged from the brush and told the maned cat the entire story. "He hit you?" BlueBell nodded, "He's never struck me before." Somebody had to, thought Tugger, but kept is opinion to himself and said, "Well why don't you go apologize to Bustopher?" BlueBell glanced at him sharply and said, "You're on his side too? Why are you all against me? I wasn't that big of deal. It's over now. Can't we all get on with our lives?" and BlueBell, again, ran away. BlueBell continued to walk down a lonely street when suddenly an unfamiliar cat leaped out infront of her. His hair was wild with sucken in eyes and crooked wiskers. He had tangled, red and orange fur. "What is a small kitten doing out here all alone?" "Leave me alone." she ordered. "Ohh, a temper I see. Ain't you one of Munkustrap's furballs?" "Not anymore." she answered. "Family feud?" "I really don't want to talk to you right now." The cat was puzzled, "Don't you know who I am?" "Not really and I don't really care either." "They call me Macavity! I'm sure you've heard of me." "Oh yeah, the Hidden Claw!" BlueBell laughed, "You're not all that scary." Macavity was shocked, "I can change that for you!" and he raised his claw when suddenly a trash can slugged him into the wall. He looked around for his antagonist but saw no one. "How did you do that?" he asked. "I really have no time for creeps like you." Macavity quickly stood, blocked her way and said, "You got powers don't you." BlueBell grinned, "Yeah, they call it telekinesis." Macavity was stunned then a wicked smile appeared on his face. "So why are you made at your dad?" "He's being a jerk." "Why are you letting him get to you? Don't get mad, get even." BlueBell frowned, "What?" "You got powers, he doesn't. Use that to your advantage! He can't tell you what to do." BlueBell smiled, "Yeah!" "Heck, he can't do nothing!" Macavity continued as BlueBell replied, "That's right! He can't treat me like that!" Macavity then placed his arm around her and said, "And I can help you." That evening, Munkustrap paced back and forth worrying about BlueBell. "I was too hard on her." Jenny patted his back, "No, you did the right thing." "You sure did." replied Tugger. "Then why do I feel so aweful?" Suddenly, Alonzo cried, "Hey, there she is!" Everyone's gaze followed Alonzo's. There on the rusted car stood BlueBell with her hands on her hips. Full of joy, Munkustrap ran to her but BlueBell yelled out, "Stay away!" Munku halted to stop full of shock. "What kind of father hits his kittens?" she asked sharply. "BlueBell, it was to teach you-" but she interrupted him, "Well, it's time to change that! Now it's my turn to teach you!" Just then with her telekinetic powers, BlueBell caused an entire avalanche of junk to fall on Munkustrap who quickly leaped out of the way. "BlueBell stop it!" yelled Mistoffelees as he ran and grabbed her. "What are you doing?" he asked hysterically. BlueBell began to cry, "He's the worst father!" she screamed as she pushed him away from her. Just then Macavity appeared and walked toward Munkustrap. "Yeah," he mocked, "what kind of father are you?" and he clawed Munkustrap across the face. BlueBell gasped. She suddenly realized Munku was injured from dodging the fallen debris and was having trouble fighting back at Macavity who continued to attack him. BlueBell ran and grabbed Macavity's tail and began pulling it as she yelled, "Stop it! Don't hurt him!" but Macavity slapped her across junkyard. Slowly, she recovered and very very angry. BlueBell gathered all the strength she could muster and everyone froze when the old rusted junkuyard car began to tremble and then was found floating in the air. Macavity turned to see the large vehicle above him. His fur stood on end in fright as he screeched. He then leaped just in time when the car came crashing down like thunder. Car parts flew everywhere and Macavity ran for his life. Slowly, Munkustrap stood and looked at BlueBell who looked back him. "I'm so sorry papa." she wimpered and Munkustrap knelt on one knee with his arms open wide as the jellicle kitten scurried into his arms. Then looking into her father's eyes, BlueBell asked, "Do I still have to apologize to Bustopher Jones?" Munkustrap laughed as he nodded. BlueBell smiled and politely replied, "Yes sir."
