Ain't he cute? Everybody loves Misto!!! :)
What's Mr. Mistoffelees' first name? This is a tough question that many people wonder about. To tell you the truth, there is no definite answer. In fact, we're not even supposse to know the answer because it's his third name! "The name that no human research can discover but the cat himself knows and will never confess." If any of you think you know his first name - e-mail me! Why wasn't Mistoffelees there during the fight with Macavity? A long time ago, when Misto was a kitten, he was found by Macavity and was treated very cruely. As you all notice in the movie, Misto is usually the first to hear everything. When he hears Macavity coming he splits. Do you blame him? So when Macavity IS there, Misto isn't! (In reality though, Jacob wasn't in Skimble's song or the fight. Why? Because he was getting changed and ready for his number that was soon to come!) What are Mistoffelees' relations with the other cats? The only cat he's related to is Bustopher Jones, his uncle, who he admires greatly! If Mistoffelees likes Victoria, why was he seen with Electra in the romance scence during the Jellicle Ball? There's no doubt Misto has a crush on Victoria but when Plato makes a move on the white jellicle, he backs off. Misto enjoys being with all the queens of the tribe. Besides it was Electra who came over to Misto. So the question isn't does Misto like Electra, instead it's does Electra like Mistoffelees? Why didn't they give Jacob Brent a bigger solo singing part? Who needs a great voice when you got spectacular moves? I'm not saying his voice is bad. I loved his singing during his solo of the "Invitation to the Jellicle Ball". It was great! But to sing his song "Mr. Mistoffelees", that would be too much for Jake! Imagine trying to leap, dance and sing all at the same time!!! He'd be gasping for air and probably pass out from exhaustion!! Playing Misto is hard enough and I think Jacob did a wonderful job!!! Why did Mistoffelees' tail change for his number? Two reasons: Because it went with the lyrics, "He's black from his ears to the tip of his tail" and because it was easier for Jacob to dance with out having his long tail whip around his waist every time he performs a twist. Can you imagine poor Jacob tripping over his own tail! I think we'd better stick with the small short one then!
