Suddenly, the mysterious cat leaped up ontop of the window and waited for her at the end. Sillabub turned the corner and looked on the other side only to find no one there. She turned and twisted around looking for whoever was on the ohter side of the window pane. She frowned in bewilderment. Was she seeing things? Little did she know that the tom was staring down at her from above. She caught the scent of the stranger and gasped she she glanced up and spotted him. Realizing that she noticed him, he leaped like a leopard and landed right in front of her causing her to scream. The tom placed his paws over his ears and cringed his face at the horrid sound and cried, "Shut up!"

Sillabub was shocked at the male's remark. He was tall, well built and had strong facial features with a define jaw line. He had a small yellow redish mane with a bit of silver and a black body. She found him quite handsom but found that his appearence was more appealing than his manner.

She crossed her arms defendently and asked, "How dare you talk to me that way!" she then looked at him up and down and added, "Who are you anyway and what are you doing in the junkyard?"

The tom frowned, "What, is this YOUR junkyard?"

Sillabub hesitated, "Well no but-"

"Then I can come and go as I please now can't I?"

With an angry look Sillabub retorted, "Actually, this junkyard belongs to a tribe that I'm a part of. The Jellicle Tribe."

His eyes widenend, "You're a jellicle?"

"Yes I am. Have you heard of us?"

The tom quickly shook his head and answered, "No, I havn't."

Sillabub couldn't help but wonder as she asked, "What are you doing here? You never answered the question."

"I'm a stray. I can go wherever and whenever I feel like it."

Sillabub smiled at that answer and looked to the sky as she whispered, "That must be wonderful to the sky be your limit. To go out and explore new places and see new things."

"Yeah, too bad you can't." he replied with a smirk. Sillabub looked at him with a hard stare, "What makes you think I can't?"

"Well you said you were part of a tribe. You have to stick with that tribe. Plus you're but a kitten. You wouldn't survive a day out there."

Fury bubbled inside of the young jellicle. She hated being seen as a kitten who couldn't take care of herself and through her clentched teeth she hissed, "I'm leaving." and she turned to walk away but after a few steps she stopped herself, turned to him, and stomped back, "Wait a minute, this is the Jellicle's junkyard, YOU leave!" she replied as she pointed her finger for him to leave.

Instead the tom laughed and replied, "Looks like I got the kitten mad."

"I AM NOT A KITTEN!!" she screamed.

Just then, the voice of Jennyanydots was heard, "Sillabub, Sillabub dear, come here please."

The tom grinned as he laughed, "You're mother's calling."

Sillabub hissed, "She's not my mother." she was so upset how this cat was treating her. In an attempt to prove to him that she wasn't a kitten she said with her nose in the air, "I'm not going anywhere."

The tom frowned, "But she's call-"

"I don't care. I don't HAVE to go."

The tom smirked at this and said, "I don't know, you don't seem like the rebellious type." and he turned to leave. Sillabub quickly stopped him by standing in has way and hissed, "I can do what ever I want!"

The tom sneered, "You don't have the backbone to do what ever you want!"

Hurt by that remark, Sillabub stared at him and then furiously said, "You know nothing of me!" Thw tom was shocked at the kitten's comeback and gave smirk showing that he was impressed. His eyes then fell on the small red ball that she held clutched in her hands. He snatched it away from her and asked, "What's this you got?"

"Hey!" cried Sillabub, "Give that back! I found that!" and she tried to scatch it back but he was too quick for her as he took a step back. She continued to go after it as she demanded it back, but he refused as he teazed her with it. He then broke into a run and she ran behind him yelling as she yelled. He ran into the city with the jellicle kitten still on her tail. He ran down side streets, and alley ways when he turned and saw that she was missing. Sillabub made a turn around a desolate corner and found herself alone. The slowly and cautiously walked down the damp alley ways. "Hello?" she called fearfully. Her voice echoed throughout street. Suddenly she got a responce. A growl that made her turn but saw nothing. The growling continued and just then, four huge city dogs emerged all around her. Their eyes narrowed on her and they foamed at the mouth. Sillabub tried to bravely stand her ground and growled back, revealing her sharp teeth as well and forcing her hair to rise. Suddenly, a large doberman leaped in the air, over her head and landed in front of her inches from her face. Sillbub gasped in fear. She took a step back, then another till she finally broke into a run. Like a pack of wolves, they ran after her, barking and growling and knocking trash cans over in their persuit after her. Sillabub ran as fast as she could, panting and turning around corners in an attempt to loose them. She gasped when she found herself at a deadend. A huge brick wall stood infront of her. She began to turn back but stopped herself when she found nearly ten hungry canines blocking her only way out. Slowly they closed in for the kill, their ears flat on their heads, their fangs bared, muscles tense and their eyes narrowed. Sillabub backed up against the cold brick wall and looked away with her eyes shut awaiting her death. But suddenly, the growls and barkings that hounded her ears turned into the sounds of thrown trashcans and puppy whimpers. One by one she opened her eyes and was shocked to see the maned tom, kicking aside the huge pollicles. They were slammed into trashbins and side walls. But they quickly recovered. The large tom cat ran to Sillabub's side and smiled as he asked, "Miss me?"

Sillabub smiled glad that he had returned to rescue her. But their problem with the dogs were far from over. They all slowly recovered from their beatings and closed in on the two cats, angrier than ever. The tom's eyes darted about trying to find a way out. He then saw a fire escape ladder beside them but realized how it wouldn't get rid if the beasts. They too could easily scale up them. He saw how the ladder was tied down. The tom had an idea. He grabbed on to Sillabub's waist tightly with one arm and with his other hand he firmly gripped the ladder.

"Hold on to the ladder." he told her and she quickly did so, not certain what he had in mind. The dogs were coming closer and soon they were only a few feet away from them and they could smell their breath and feel it's heat.
