Demeter's eyes widoned, "I knew I heard dogs!"

Munkustrap turned to the tom, "Is this true?"

Titus nodded and Munkustrap smiled graciously, "Well then you are more than welcomed here! You may come and go as you please." he then placed a friendly paw on the tom's shoulder and said, "I'm Munkustrap, leader of the Jellicle Tribe." he then brought him to Demeter and said, "And the is my queen, Demeter."

Titus took her paw and gave it a gently kiss, then glanced up at her and said with a grin, "It's a pleasure."

Demeter gave a huge smile as she exclaimed, "I like this tom already!"

Munkustrap placed a strong arm over Titus and gently separated the two as he mumbled to Demeter, "I'm sure you do." he then addressed the jellicles and excaimed, "And this is my tribe! We are friendly here so you needn't worry." he then turned to Titus, took a firm friendly grip of his paw and replied, "May this be the beginning of a wonderful friendship."

Titus smiled and replied, "I'm looking forward to it." and Munkustrap gave a satisfied nodd and walked away. Suddenly, a slim red feline approached the maned tom and said, "Hey handsome, my name's Bombalurina. Awfully big for a cat aren't you?"

Titus shrugged as he answered, "Well it's a nessecity in the city. The bigger the better." Just then, a cute young queen popped up and exclaimed with giggles, "Hi! My name's Ectetera!" and another young feline followed with a huge smile, "And I'm Rumpleteazer but you can call me Teazer for short!" she rambled. Before Titus could reply another hyper young queen bounced forth and replied, "It's Titus right? I'm Electra! And these are my good friends, Cassandra and Victoria."

Titus was amazed at the siamese's slenderness and the white queen's elegance. But then he looked around him and realized they were all beautiful. Each had very distinct markings. They were obviously house cats. Titus was about to greet them all when suddenly he found a large tom just about his size standing by him. The two looked alike except Titus had different facial markings. The jellicle tom stood there staring at him making Titus feel uncomfortable. Seeing how the large jellicle wasn't going to start the conversation, Titus grinned, "Hi."

"Hi." came the unenthused responce. Titus then offered his paw and told him his name, "Titus." but the jellicle ignored the extended paw and answered back, "I'm The Rum Tum Tugger but my friends call Tugger. You can Rum Tum Tugger."

Titus cleared his throat and replied, "Okay, Rum Tum Tugger."

Tugger then gently took Bombalurina's paw and held her away from where she stood with Titus and brought her close to him and said, "So you're a loner, eh?"

"Yeah."

"So, I'm assuming you don't have a queen, am I right?"

Titus tryed not to show his fury. This jellicle obviously was having an attitude problem with him. "No, I don't."

"Gee, what a pitty." Tugger answered as he glanced at the red feline next to him.

Titus decided to play along, "I see you have no problem in that area."

"Nor do I ever plan to have that problem." he replied with a jerk of his mane. And Tugger gave Titus a rough pat on the back and said as he walked off with his queen, "Nice talking to ya Tite."

Titus stood there, with tightened fists and furious eyes and through his clentched teeth he mumbled, "Wish I could say the same, Tug." and Titus began to leave the junkyard.

"Where you going?" came Sillabub's voice from behind him. Titus froze, then turned to her and replied, "Back to the city."

Sillabub frowned, "What for? There's nothing for you there."

"Don't worry I'll be back." and he began to walk off. But that wasn't good enough for Sillabub, "When?" she cried. Titus came to a hault again and replied, "Soon. I promise." and he was gone.

Morning had died and it was now late afternoon. The heat of the day had dryed up most of the damp streets and was now beginning to cool. The city continued to buzz with excitement and the only things that were running through Titus' head was Sillabub. He was in deep trouble and he knew it. What had he done? Titus continued to walk down the desolate mazed alley ways of the city alone, drowned in his thoughts. Suddenly he stopped at the sound of a slight noise from behind him. He turned and saw no one. Just an empty alley street. He continued his stroll. He could still hear someone following him so he turned a corner. The dirty spy turned the corner as well but was shocked to find him missing. His eyes darted throughout the area in a desperate attempt to find him. Suddenly, his arm was grabbed and Titus with a strong yell, lifted and slung the wretched cat over his shoulder. The cat hollared and landed on his back on the solid cement floor.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOLLOWING ME?!!!" Titus roared. The street cat groaned in pain and replied, "I was told to find you. He's been wondering where you've been." the cat frowned as he asked, "Where have you been?"

"My whereabout are of none your concern, nor anyone elses!" Titus growled. The dirty cat stood, brushing away the dust off his tangled brownish gold fur. He had a black pirate's patch over his left eye. Titus shook head as walked off, "Honestly Crookeyed, you need a new position. Spying isn't your gift." And together they walked farther into the city alley ways where it grew narrower and narrower and darker and darker till finally it opened into a vast area where the shadows the immense buidings beside them made it seem like night and cold. A huge fire blazed in the middle of the area and filthy street cats roamed like rats in and out of carboard boxs, garbage bins and trash cans.

In a corner, a well built, large gray tabby stood leaning against the cold deteriorating brick wall with a female cat infront of him. He carressed her face and said, "So are you saying yes?" The queen smiled and answered, "What do you think I'm saying?" The gray tabby smiled and replied, "Yeah?" "You were always great at those guessing games." and she leaned in for a kiss but the gray tom's eyes fell on Titus from afar. Before their lips could touch, the tom placed a finger on her lips, bring her to a hault and said, "Hold that thought for me hun." and he walked off. The queen stood there shocked at first with a 'How dare he' look then glanced at him with angry eyes.
