Accepting his apology and unable to stay mad at him, Sillabub positioned herself to where her back was facing him and she sat back leaning on his chest and staring up at the night's sky which was fading into morning. He rested his head on hers, followed her gaze at the sky and said, "Remember, when we first met?" Sillabub smirked, "And you told me to shut up?" Titus frowned, "I did not." "Yes you did!" she retorted, "I screamed and you hollared at me, 'Shut up!'"
Titus then smiled as he said, "Oh yeah, I did." then chuckled at the memory. He then shook his head and added, "No but I'm talking about when I called you a kitten. Remember that?" Sillabub rolled her eyes, "Yes, you said I was nothing but a kitten with no backbone." she then turned her head up to look up at him and asked, "Why did you say that?"
Titus shrugged, "Because, you looked like one." Sillabub smiled, "Do I still look that way?" Titus backed off and examined her. Something was missing. "Ah hah! I got it!" and he took off his spiked collar and placed it gently around her neck. Once tied from behind and leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Now you don't." Sillabub turned and looked into his eyes. Daylight was falling on the junkyard, as the sunlight burst through the summer trees. Together they turned and watched the sunrise. Sillabub's eyes suddenly fell on a nearby small sunflower that struggled to survive just outside of the junkyard. "It's a beautiful morning isn't it?" she asked, "See that sunflower, there's dew on it. Signs of a great crisp morning."
Suddenly her thoughts were diverted. "You know what I wish?" Sillabub whispered. Titus stood there silently waiting for her reply. "I wish we could be like this forever. With no worry, have ongoing conversations, endless dancing and masquerading. It would be a dream come true."
Titus was about to reply when suddenly, he was grabbed from behind and harshly swung to the ground, landing on his shoulder. Sillabub gasped to see Tugger. Looking down at the Alley Cat, Tugger spatted, "You got a lot of nerve coming back here!" Sillabub quickly grabbed the jellicle tom's arm and cried, "Tugger, wait! No!" But Tugger squirmed out of her grip and leaped down to where Titus was slowly getting up. "You've caused enough trouble here Alley Cat." continued Tugger as he made his way over to Titus. "Why I have half a mind to-"
"Half a mind!" yelled Titus, "Isn't that a little generous?!" and with that he gave Tugger a strict punch in the lower jaw. The jellicle quickly recovered and threw himself against Titus, sending them both to the ground, rolling, kicking and scuffling. "No! Stop it!" cried Sillabub, but they wouldn't listen as they continued to brawl. Just then, a boistrous roar echoed throughout the junkyard, "TUGGER STOP!!!"
Immediatly, the jellicle tom froze at the command of Munkustrap who stood tall on a high pile of junk. Beside him stood the black jellicle, Mistoffelees. Tugger obeyed, however, Titus didn't and Tugger was tripped and slammed down on his back, knocking the wind out of him. Mistoffelees seeing his friend in trouble, shot out a huge bolt of electricity at the Alley Cat. Upon seeing the charge soaring towards him, Titus quickly reacted by leaping out of the way, but the explosion sent threw him off his feet and landing on the ground. In his anger at the Alley Cat for bringing misery to Sillabub and the tribe, Misto then sent another one after him. Being far too tired to dodge it again, Titus closed his eyes and braced himself for the blow. Sillabub suddenly screamed, "NOOOO!!!!" and she quickly stood in front of the fallen tom with her arms wide open fully prepard to take the blow.
Munkustrap's eyes widened at Sillabub's action and hollared, "Sillabub!! Get out of the way!!!" but she stood her ground. Mistoffelees gasped, threw his arms down, and yelled at the top of his lungs, "NO!!! STOP, MAGIC STOP!!!"
The bolt came to a halt inches from Sillabub's face when then suddenly disappeared in sparks. Sillabub opened one eye then the other. Mistoffelees stood there shocked as he looked at his hands, "It...it stopped!"
By then all the jellicles had appeared and saw the entire incident. Demeter stood tall by her gray tom. Munkustrap yelled to Sillbub who continued to stand there, with her opened arms boldly infront of the young tom, "Sillabub, what are you doing!?"
The young jellicle cried back, "I won't let you hurt him! You'll have to kill me first before you can even think about harming him!" Demeter shook her head in pity as she cried out to her, "Sillabub please, don't do this."
Munkustrap then growled, "He's lied to us, he works for Macavity!" but Sillabub continued as tears streamed down her face, "I don't care what he's done or who he works for! I care for this tom, and I'm not about to see him get hurt!" Munkustrap then shot another question at her, "How can you care for such a fien?!" With tears in her eyes, Sillabub hesitated as she looked behind her, down at Titus and replied with a quiver, "Because...because I love him."
Just then, Alonzo cried, "Oh this is ridiculous! He's an Alley Cat!" "This is absurd!" added Skimbleshanks. Tugger then hollared, "And what makes you think this barbarian loves you back?" Sillabub fell silent. She glanced behind her waiting for his reply. Did he really love her? Titus looked up at her and answered softly, "Sillabub, I love you more than life itself."
Sillabub smiled and silence overcame the junkyard. Even Tugger was shocked. But the silence was soon interupted with a deep familiar growl, "I just hate moments like these."
All eyes fell on the figure that soon stepped into the light, revealing non other than the Hidden Paw himself. Immediatly the jellicles began growling, bareing their white teeth ready for attack. Macavity then opened his paw, revealing a large topaz gem that glistened in the sunlight. The jellicles frowned, wondering what it was he held. Mistoffelees recognized as his eyes widened and he whispered in amazment, "It's the Tyger's Eye!" Munkustrap frowned, "The what?" "The Tyger's Eye. It's a very powerful jewel given to an ancient cat in Northern Egypt as a gift which he wore around his collar. The cat was concidered a god and the gem a simple gift. But it's magic never worked unless it was in the paws of a cat."
Macavity chuckled, "You know your history, jellicle and apparently it's in the paws of a cat." the orb began to glow and Macavity's eyes fell on Sillabub, "You! This is all your fault! You took one of my best leaders away from and for that you will pay!" and he lifted the gem which shot out an incredibly luminous explosion and sped towards the young frightened jellicle. Sillabub let out a horrifying scream as the surge of orange light flew like a giant comet towards her.
