The Mayo FA kicks off it's 50 year in April with forty five teams competing in five divisions. This year has seen the addition of Inver United who join the last years recruits Mulranny United, Fahy Rovers, Kilmore and Valley Rovers. In recent years the Association has tried to maintain a high standard for it's members to strive for. The Super League was formed in 1999 with the intention of rewarding clubs with good facilities who played a high standard of football. It is now mandatory for all clubs to have dressing rooms and dugouts. Plans are already afoot to take these measures one step further within the next two years when shower facilities will be required in clubhouses.
