LSD church documents indicate he was the father of William and Henry. The inscription on his tomb in St. Dunstan's, Tamworth, Staffordshire, England indicate he had eight sons and three daughters.

Some records say that he was the son of Gentleman Henry, but dates make this unlikely. (Gentleman Henry died in 1555 and William was born in 1560). LSD records make the most sense when they say he was the son of William b.- abt 1528.
