Our Family Fun Nights

We feel that family is God given and that in order for a family to thrive, relationships must be built and nurtured.
We have seen in the past few months how a weekly family night is building lasting memories into our children. Our family nights are free, or relatively inexpensive, and yet they nurture and help family relationships to grow. We list our family nights on a calendar and the children get very excited knowing that we will be spending time together as a family. Dad plans one family night a month, and Mom plans three. As the children get older, they will have a night to plan also.

FREE Family Fun Night Ideas

  • Go to the park

Something that our children love to do (Mom and Dad also) is to pack a picnic basket and have an adventure in the van. We sit on the floor of the van, eat and talk. Our three year old and five year old really love doing this. Sometimes, when we have a day full of errands planned, Mommy packs drinks and goldfish and cookies and we spend a couple of dollars at Wendy's drive thru buying a burger or nuggets. We find a shady place to park and begin our adventure. This breaks the monotony of shopping, gives them something to look forward to, and is very inexpensive or free, depending on what we decide to eat.
