Blue Collared?

With rich
indifference,
their addiction to
the instinctive power
of their wealth growing
money markets forever
locks out common sense,
my own dreadful warnings
of too many people and
too much garbage, trash
junk, smoke and fumes
relentlessly ignored,
not as yet another
grim essay, letter,
comment or poem,
but my social class
routinely labeled
of less intelligence
even by successful
son and brother,
however insistent
and stressful our
environmental
predicament
and
apparently
as of this date
they are so blind
to an ecocidal fate
only the children
may redeem us
in time or
too late.
