From cosmic womb of involution
evolves the sacred sexual act
of life in deepest addiction
to powers of mythic delusion
that must deny in symbol the fact
from all our temples a final eviction
with carnal dread of eternal exclusion
transient viewers quake and react
in macho play at military maneuver
and psycho games of follow the leader
whose carefully cultured ego decrees
a broad hint of what really is meant
by whatever we want is all we need
to repress any sense of sin or dis-ease
at Her vanishing gifts so carelessly spent
on credit to buy any damn thing we please,
appetites guide us wherever they lead.
So are we then but a sequential event
we did not begin and cannot prevent?
