S.S. Sandy

It gets worse
when our feeding instinct
overwhelms our intellect,
more trouble than it's worth
since we grow our population
on this slowly shrinking Earth
by dumping tons of contamination
until it dies and we go extinct
from ecocide self-inflicted
because we're so addicted
to the growing power of
millions, billions and trillions
of legally marketable dollars
everything else irrelevant
even at the cost
of life on Earth
though never
to reimburse
such a loss,
the cancer cell
so deluded
it assumes
the Cosmic body
will host
its growth
forever.
