SINGULAR FATES

Half of what we know and feel
are parental bio-programs,
never to be erased
at their source,
the planet where life
must devour life to live
under deception and force,
anger and fear cast down
upon vilified girls and boys
who suffer to be alone
in most of whatever they do
while other children stare
to brand them one by one
clumsy, backward, unsocial,
so easy to dupe and betray,
molding with grim ridicule
the enemies they must have
to feel safe and OK.
