Jason & John's 1998 Music Awards
Well, the time has finally come to give out the awards to
the artists that have helped to shape your perception of
the past year, 1998. Of course, the artists and songs that
were nominated were picked by John and Jason, but you all
are the ones that will be deciding which one of them takes
home an award and who goes home empty handed. For this
special awards show, we've also lined up some top-notch
artists and groups to perform for your listening pleasure.
After all... What would an awards show be without some
entertainment?
Okay, here's the deal:
Each week, two categories will be posted. You all will have
one week to vote in those two categories before two more
categories are posted. We will be using voting booths as
our method of receiving your votes. There is one rule that
we have about using the voting booths. We ask that you not
"stuff the ballot box." In other words, don't keep hitting
the "back" button and continuously vote for your favorite
artist or song. The voting booth that we are using captures
the IP address of the computer sending the votes. If either
of us see more than one vote for a certain artist of song
that is coming from the same IP address, all votes coming
from that IP address (except for the first vote) will be
thrown out. Sorry for the tough rules, it's just that we
want these awards to come out as fair as possible.
Here are the artists or groups who will be performing on
our awards show (in alphabetical order):
