Well, one of the most infamous bands in today's scene had to start somewhere. And here is that place. People kept telling me, "Their newer stuff sucks man, get their first album." Well, I did, and I don't like it nearly as much as Dusk or Cruelty. The biggest plus of this album is that the guitar is very strong in the mix, very metal sounding. However, the drums are weak, the keyboards are too loud, and Dani's voice still needs work. I will say that this still sounds like Cradle of Filth, just less mature (MUCH less) than the later releases. All in all, a decent release but I would suggest something later (e.g., Dusk and Her Embrace) as a better purchase.
