Faustian Dawn was the name of Demoncy's 7-song demo put out in 1993, but the CD version of it was released in 1995 and contained some additional rehearsal tracks. That being said, what does it sound like? The most obvious reference point would be Beherit--maybe with a touch of old Darkthrone. Stark sound, hardly any production values, straight-ahead speed riffing, vocals so muffled that you can hardly tell it's human...yep, that's Demoncy. But since this is black metal, not a rendition of Beethoven, these characteristics help Demoncy out. The interesting aspect of Demoncy is that no two songs have the same production. Oh well. Fans of the minimalist style (Beherit, Burzum, Blasphemy, etc.) will love this. Hell, I like it.
