Was
made Commander-in-Chief of Virginia Consistory, an Active Member of the
Supreme Council in 1847, and Lieutenant Grand Commander in 1870. He retained
these last two offices until his death in 1878. He
also served as Grand Master of Virginia from 1859 to 1861 (i.e., was the
Grand Master at the start of the War Against the States), served as Grand
High Priest (1853 to 1855) and Grand Commander of the Commandery from 1868 to
1872. |
