28 May 1864: New Hope Church 1st Regiment joins the Confederate Army of Tennessee in the skirmishing (Stovall's Brigade; Stewart's Division; Hood's Corps).
2 Jun 1864: Half the 1st Regiment was still on picket duty at New Hope Church.
5 Jun 1864: Lost Mountain
10 Jun 1864: 2nd Regiment joins the Confederate Army of Tennessee (Cumming's Brigade; Stevenson's Division; Hood's Corps).
15 Jun 1864: Picket duty and skirmishing.
18 Jun 1864: Kennesaw Mountain - Skirmishing; 16 wounded in 1st Regiment.
22 Jun 1864: Kolb's Farm - 2nd Regiment with Hood's Corps charged entrenched Federal line, sustaining 80 casualties.
27 Jun 1864: Kennesaw Mountain - 1st Regiment was on the left end of the line, skirmishing, but missed the brunt of the fighting , which occurred at the center of the line.
2 - 9 Jul 1864: Nickajack Creek
5 Jul 1864: Took over guard duty from General Gustavius Smith's Georgia Militia at Chatahootchie Bridge. There they held off a fierce Union assault.
17 Jul 1864: Arrived at Peachtree Creek. General Johnston is replaced by John B. Hood, in command of the Army of Tennessee.
20 Jul 1864: Battle of Peachtree Creek - 1st Regiment; Heavy skirmishing in the thick woods on the right side of the battle line.
22 Jul 1864: Battle of Atlanta (East of the city) - Attacked the enemy works at the Troup Hurt House. Captured DeGress's Battery, which had been "playing havoc" in the Confederate lines. 1st Regiment suffered 92 casualties.
5 - 7 Aug 1864: Utoy Creek - Federal assault captures 350 Confederates, including 39 of the 1st Georgia State Line.
31 Aug 1864: Jonesboro - Both Regiments of the GSL saw action. 1st Regiment had 16 casualties. 2nd Regiment lost 105 of the 200 soldiers who went into battle.
1-18 Sep 1864: Encamped at Lovejoy's Station, South of Atlanta, Georgia.
19 Sep 1864: Joined Hood's Army of Tennessee in Northward march. Attacking the Federal supply line.
21 Sep 1864: Reached a spot between East Point and Palmetto (Stayed about a week).
30 Sep - 3 Oct 1864: Moved from Palmetto to Big Shanty.
12 Oct 1864: Resaca, Georgia.
13 Oct 1864: Snake Creek Gap.
14-17 Oct 1864: Went through Villanow and Summerville.
18 Oct 1864: Into Alabama - Blue Pond, where all troops except Georgia State Line received new uniforms; on to Gadsden, Alabama.
22 Oct 1864: Departed for return to Georgia - Marched to Blue Mountain; Took a train to Selma; Riverboat to Montgomery; Passenger train to Columbus, Georgia; Left for Macon, Georgia on the 27th.
14 Nov 1864: Joined the Georgia Militia, under the command of G.W. Smith, at Lovejoy's Station.
22 Nov 1864: Along with 3 Militia Brigades, started toward Augusta, Georgia.
22 Nov 1864: Battle at Griswoldville. During the ensuing battle, Georgia State Line had 3 killed, 40 wounded, and 9 missing. 1st Regiment was on the left side of the front line of battle during the charge on Union positions.
24 Nov 1864: Pulled back to Macon, Georgia.
29 Nov 1864: Sent to Savannah, Georgia via Albany & Thomasville.
30 Nov 1864: Grahamville, South Carolina - Confederate line was on the ridge at Honey Hill. Georgia State Line was at the center. The Federals were defeated, and the victorious Confederates scavenged in the battlefield among the well-equipped Union dead.
1-19 Dec 1864: Little Ogeechee Railroad bridge, Northwest of Savannah. 1st Regiment manned the outer defensive entrenchments and skirmished with Sherman's lead elements.
20 Dec 1864: Confederates withdrew across a pontoon bridge into South Carolina, with the Georgia State Line acting as a rear guard. Marched to Bamberg, South Carolina and boarded a train to Augusta. Remained in Augusta through Feb 1865.
Mar 1865: Camped near Milledgeville, Georgia. Garrison duty.
11 Apr 1865: Camped below Macon, at Jackson's Station.
16 Apr 1865: Battle of Columbus, Georgia / Girard, Alabama.
20 Apr 1865: 1st Regiment surrendered after a short skirmish in Macon.
7 May 1865 Macon: Both Regiments of the Georgia State Line were surrendered by Governor Brown, along with the Georgia Militia.
