Mr. Eugene "Pete" Hullender

Mr. Eugene "Pete" Hullender, 64, of Chatsworth, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 25, 2002, at the Murray Medical Center.

Mr. Hullender was born June 23, 1937, in Whitfield County, son of the of the late Frank Robert Hullender and Mary (Cole) Hullender.

Brothers Jack Hullender, Arthur Hullender, Amos Hullender, Ralph Hullender and Seth Hullender also preceded him in death.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and D. Terry Forshee of Cleveland, Tenn., Kathy and Ronald McFalls of Dalton, Robin and Calvin Smith of Chatsworth, Kevin and Scott Burgess of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Lee "Slim" Hullender and Frank "Bud" Hullender JR., both of Crandall, L.C. and Linda Hullender of Dalton, Jerry and Sarah Hullender of Rocky Face, Faron and Sheila Hullender of Crandall; sisters and brother-in-law, Jewell Ogles of Calhoun, Sybil Hayes of Cohutta, Ruth and Charles Campbell of Dalton; grandchildren, Brent, Whitney, Cara and Cameron Forshee, Nathan Headrick, Robin Arthur, Casey and Haley Smith, Tera and Ryan Burgess; two great-grandchildren.

Services are Thursday at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Allan Crider officiating.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Cohutta.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
