Mrs. Nora Edith Kiser, 71, of Prosperity, died of natural causes Thursday, June 22, 1989 at 8 am.m., in a Beckley hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1917, in Cohutta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Elizabeth Bennett Starks.
Mrs. Kiser was a homemaker, a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church and on Aug. 15, she would have celebrated her 56th wedding anniversary.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donald Franklin Kiser; a sister, Ruby Cowger and two brothers, Jud and Carl Starks.
Survivors include her husband, Loomis A. Kiser; two sons, Kenneth Kiser of Hinkley, Ohio and Donald Kiser of North Ridgeville, Ohio; a daughter, Charlotte Wheeler of Palm Harbor, Fla; a brother, Clyde Starks of Maple Fork; a sister, Ruth Payne of Mabscott; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel in Prosperity with the Revs. Ernest Barley and Alan Ledford officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
