"If you have men who will exclude
Any of God's creatures
From the Shelter of compassion and pity,
You will have men who will deal likewise
With their fellow man."
This page and the links off it are my way of remembering and honoring the
furry friends that I have had during my lifetime. Some have gone on to the
Rainbow Bridge. I hope they remember me as a kind and loving human who did the
best for them.
For now, I have a couple of furry kids running around here. A 100lb dog and a 10lb cat (I still
don't believe it) keep me busy petting, brushing, feeding and playing (and sometimes separating) with them.
In the case of the cat, I keep busy hunting the little creep since he hides in
the strangest places.
All my dogs, except for one, have been adopted from either Animal Control or
the SPCA. The cat adopted us as his story will show if you read it.
I firmly believe in spaying and neutering pets. Unless you have an exceptional
example of the breed that will contribute to the gene pool, then don't breed
your pet. You are responsible for all the puppies or kittens that your pet
produces. Are you willing to take the responsibility for them? Take a look
at Donner when I got him. Was he yours? Did you breed him or buy him and then
ignore him? Do you support pet stores that buy pets from "backyard" or "volume"
breeders? If so, you're part of the problem! Even worse, are you sitting quietly
and watching someone mistreat an animal? Get off your butt and do something!
End of my crusade speech. I hope you go ahead and read the links off this page.
Some are fun. Others tell the tale of Donner. A Rottwieler, 45lbs at over a year
old. Even the little sneaky cat, Roof, has his own page. Feel free to
email me with your comments.
