Materials: Misc Yarn Size hook of choice (for me, the larger the better!) Basic Instructions: Ch the length that you need your sweater width to be, plus 3. (for idea, see chart below) 1. Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, and in each ch across. Ch 2, turn. 2. Hdc in each ch across, and in turning ch. Ch 2, turn. Repeat row 2 until you reach length needed for body. Beginning Sleeve: Ch measurement needed for sleeve plus 3. Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, and in each ch across, then in each Hdc across body. When you reach the end of the body, ch same amount as for first sleeve plus 3. hdc in 3rd ch from hook, and in each ch across, then across body and sleeve.Ch 2, turn Next row: Hdc in each st across, ch 2, turn. Repeat this row until sleeve width is met. Neck Row: hdc to neck opening, ch needed length for opening, skip same amount of sts on sweater and hdc in remainint st's across.ch 2, turn. Hdc back across row, and in each of the ch's made, and in each of remaining hdc.ch 2, turn. Continue with basic row until sleeve width matchs first sleeve width. You will have one more row on one side than on the other. That's ok! It works out. When you have reached the appropriate number of rows, or length, hdc across sleeve, and across body width. ch 2, turn. Hdc across body width until you have the same amount or rows/same length as the front of the sweater! To finish: sc or sew underarm sleeves from cuff to sweater hem.
Additions: (optional) Hdc in each st around neck, sl st to beginning to join. do 2 rows for a short "mock turtleneck" Add a "ribbing" type collar, but instead of joining ends of "ribbing", add a couple buttons to button it together. Do a "waffle" type stitch instead of HDC..or do DC or SC or Cross-stitch DC or...well, you get the idea! Stripes! 2 strands of complementary colors! Sport wt and "m" hook for a lacy effect |

The measurements for the Womens sweater make a more "tunic" type sweater. If you want a shorter, regular pullover type length, shorten accordingly (about 5 inches) |
