Lovell Obituraries











This was in the Dillion Herald (S.C.) Thursday February 13, 1936. W.L. Lovell 50 passed away at his home here Saturday afternoon after an illness of two years and leaves a large family connection and many friends who were grieved at his passing. Mr.Lovell was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Lovell of Gresham and since his marriage to Miss. Annie Biggs, daughter of Mrs. Biggs has made his home in Dillion where he was connected until the time of his illness with the Carolina Textile Corporation. He was a man of sterling worth. Funeral Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at the late residence by Dr. J.A. Ward, pastor of the First Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Clyde C. Cox. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. Many beautiful flowers were sent by friends and relatives. The pallbearers were members of the Junior Order of which Mr. Lovell was a faithfull member. Surviving relatives are his parents, his wife and the following children: Miss Isa Mae Lovell, David Lovell, Dillion; Jack Lovell, Lake View; R.E. Lovell, Lands; Mrs. Art Farley, Irvine, KY; J.H. Lovell, Dunn, N.C.; three grandchildren and nine sisters and brothers: Mrs. J.M. Jones, Mrs. J. King, Miss. Josie Lovell, Gresham; Mrs. T.G. Saxon, S.B. Lovell, Raiford, N.C.; J.B. Lovell, Fayetteville, N.C.; L.C. Lovell, Clinton, N.C.
