A Pokemon(short for poketmonster) is a creature of different sizes with many different moves and its height can be from less than 1 foot tall, to about 100 feet tall.A Pokemon is a species, many people say creature but don't be fooled. There are 150 Pokemon people say but no there is Mew, Missingno and many other to be discovered. Every creature of the Pokemon Species has different moves and Abilities to battle against other Pokemon of the Pokemon race. Ther are different types of Pokemon. There are Rock pokemon, like Machop, for example. There are water Pokemon, like Squirtle, for example. In fighting, some Pokemon have advantages over other Pokemon. Like a Wartortle, which is a water Pokemon, would have the advantage over a fire Pokemon because water puts out fire. So if Wartortle used wter gun on Charmander, Charmander would get hurt more. But if it was a water Pokemon vs. a water Pokemon, a water move would not do much damage. Your job as a trainer is to catch all 150 Pokemon. Then your Pokemon can start to evolve. Evolving is like if you had America Online 3.0, and you upgraded to America Online 4.0. The Pokemon are usually better when they evolve into higher stages. You can also have your Pokemon fight for you. Like, you could have any Pokemon of your choice battle with another trainer and his Pokemon of choice. May the better Pokemon win!
