DONATELLO AGAINST HAVOC

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS TAKEN DURING THE
“RED SKY” SERIES OF THE TMNT CARTOON. If you do not what I am talking about, go
to www.ninjaturtles.com and look under
episode summaries. It is the later episodes starting with the episode “Get
Shredder.” To see a picture of the TMNT looked like in these episodes go to my
website at https://www.angelfire.com/va2/Ricochet/TMNT/tmnt.html
and you will see a picture of them.
Also if you are familiar with the “Red Sky” series please note that I am
not going directly by the episodes. This part however will be taken directly
after the episode “Cry HAVOC.” The reason why I am doing this is to show that
many years passed between this part and the part before this one.
“This is Burne Thompson with my point of
view. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the city’s most nefarious
vigilantes! They have caused this station to lose tons of money by destroying
our Channel 6 building and plus they have destroyed our transmitting antenna!
But we are back on television and those mutants won’t stop me from bringing
them to justice! I urge all citizens to be on the alert for these troublesome
reptiles and if you see any please report them to the nearest police station!”
Burne said over the television.
Raphael growled out as he quickly turned it
off. “That does it! I say we go to down there right now and show Burne how troublesome
we really can be!”
“Don’t those dudes understand that we are
trying to help them?” Michelangelo asked looking over at his older brothers, a
bit sad on the turn of events.
“That clearly shows that we shouldn’t even
bother to help the humans anymore. Every time we help them, they just turn
around and attack us!” Donatello added, bawling his hands up, as he got tense
from the immense anger inside of him. Ever since the city knew about who they
were, they were against them. All of the humans except for April and Irma, who
by his astonishment, understood the turtles' intentions and accepted them as
their friends. April clearly understood that whenever she was in trouble or
when the city was in trouble, the turtles didn’t think twice to go out and try to
save them. But lately, Don and his brothers were getting second thoughts. Years
have passed by and each time it seemed to get worse and worse. The humans
clearly wanted to blame them for all the trouble they were experiencing. And
why was that? Because they were mutants and the humans didn’t understand them,
or so that was Don’s opinion. Leonardo, on the other hand, clearly believed it
was partial their fault because Shredder was after them and if he wasn’t, then
the city wouldn’t have to pay so much.
Michelangelo, however, loathed to watch the
nightly news anymore because it always sparked anger not between Channel 6 and
his brothers but between his brothers.
Raphael would be flat off angry against the humans’ remark since he
really didn’t care for humans too much. Leonardo would try to take some of the
blame and always had to fight for his opinion and Donatello was turning more
into a human hater just like his brother Raphael ever since the government took
away Felicia and Sango. Mike tried to
be peacemaker but always ended up getting insulted and diving into the fight as
well. Luckily for them, Splinter would always come in minutes later and punish
them, even he was getting a bit sad on the turtles’ attitude anymore and it
caused him great pain to see them fighting amongst themselves.
Leonardo sighed as he stood up from the
couch. “Come on guys, let’s hit the exercise room. Maybe a good workout would
ease our minds.”
“How about doing a good workout at Channel
6 against Burne and Vernon! That would definitely ease my mind!” Raphael stated
as he stood up from the couch, taking out his sais.
“That would be foolish, Raphael. If we
attack them that is going to make us look even worse.” Leonardo replied,
frowning at his hotheaded brother. Michelangelo nodded at Leo’s remark, Don
remained silent, holding his bo staff in his hand.
“So you are just going to let them say that
about us? Hello! Don’t you see that will make us even worse as well?” Raphael
snapped back, sticking his sais back in his belt. “I say we go up there and let
them know how we feel about their comments!” With that, he turned and was about
to walk out of the entrance when Leonardo grabbed his shoulder, stopping him.
“Now wait a minute! I am the leader of this
group; Raphael and I say that we are going to stay here. Do you understand?” he
said, getting frustrated with the disunion of their group lately. Everyday it
seemed to be like this and he didn’t know how much longer he could keep the
group together like Master Splinter wanted.
“Well what if I don’t want you to be leader
anymore, Leonardo” Raph snapped back as he shrugged off Leo’s hand. Taken back by this, Leonardo clenched his
teeth.
“You know, Leonardo. He has a point,”
Donatello commented. “We shouldn’t even try to help the humans anymore if they
are just going come back and attack us. Maybe we should go down there and teach
Burne and Vernon a lesson.
Michelangelo, shocked by Don’s new
attitude, became angry. “I can’t
believe you said that, compadre! You guys saw what happened when we try to
separate when we fought against Titanus. We need each other, we are a family.”
“No, go on Raphael. If you don’t want to
stay here then leave! We are better off without you,” Leonardo growled.
“Fine by me, leader,” Raphael
replied as he turned to once again to leave the lair.
“Raphael! Don’t take another step!”
Splinter yelled as he walked into the living room, anger was in his eyes. Raphael, looking kind of worried on his
master’s facial expression, stepped back into the living room to join his
brothers. “I am getting sick and tired of your constant fights with each other!
You are brothers! Not the enemy! I think all three of you should take after
Michelangelo. Even though he is the youngest, he is clearly the smartest of you
four right now. You are a family! You must remain united or you will fall!
Raphael, you must learn not to get insulted so easily. You must forgive the
ones who speak ill of you since they do not understand you. You and the rest of
your brothers shouldn’t judge an entire group just on a few.” Speechless on
what to argue back, Raphael hung his head in shame. “Leonardo, I know that you
mean well but you must not give up on your brother. Giving up on him shows him that you don’t care for his well
being.”
Leonardo sighed sadly. “I am sorry,
Master.”
Splinter turned his attention to Donatello.
“I know that you are suffering a lot from the humans. But like I told Raphael,
you shouldn’t judge an entire group on just one’s actions. You must always help others. For punishing the entire group will never
get back Felicia or your daughter, Donatello.
You must be patient with the ones who don’t understand you.”
“Yes, sensei,” Don replied sadly as he
walked off to his room. Bringing up Felicia and Sango caused the pain that he
had once felt before to emerge again.
Michelangelo looked around and smiled at
his brothers. “I have a great idea, dudes! Let’s go to Vinnie’s and get a
pizza! My treat!”
“I say alright!” Raphael shouted
cheerfully, trying to get his mind off the insults from Burne.
“Come on, Raphael. Let’s go,” Leonardo
smiled as he placed his hand on his shoulder. Raphael returned the smile as he
and Leonardo walked out of the entrance.
Michelangelo worriedly looked back at
Splinter. “What about Donatello?”
“Let him stay here. Bring him back
something,” Splinter smiled softly. Michelangelo nodded and then ran to catch
up with his two older brothers.
Splinter being pleased with the turn out,
walked towards the bedrooms and saw Donatello sitting on his bed just facing
the wall. “Are you alright, my son?”
“Yeah, I am fine,” Don replied quickly, his
voice breaking up.
“Well if you ever wanted to talk about
something. I am hear for you,” Splinter said gently, kind of knowing what was
troubling him. “I am going to go out and do my mediation ritual to try to find
some answers on what is going on. You’ll be okay by yourself?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. I’ll probably do some
tinkering in a little bit anyways.” Don put his bo staff against the corner of
his room.
“Very well. Remember to contact your
brothers if something comes up,” Splinter added as he turned and walked to his
own room to retrieve his walking stick.
Suddenly Don’s turtle com beeped and he
opened it up. “Donatello here.”
“Oh no. I was hoping to get Leonardo
first.” April said glumly.
This made Donatello become a bit worried.
“Why? What’s wrong?”
“There was a break in at one of the
governmental experimental labs. Supposedly the lab’s top-secret project was
taken. And get this, it was done by Titanus’ mutants!”
“Great that’s all we need. Do you have any
idea on what kind of device was taken?”
“Well actually one of my old high school
buddies works there. He logs the experiments. But you can’t tell anyone.
Because if the government finds out that he told anybody then he can be thrown
into jail.”
“Relax,
April. It’s us. Now what kind of device was Titanus trying to get his hands on
this time?”
“Well actually it isn’t a device.
Supposedly the government was doing a research on mutations and the top project
was doing lab work on a mutant.”
“Really?
Well what kind of mutant?”
April sighed sadly. “Let me just put it
this way. Years ago the government took in a rare specimen. A mutant, which was
a humanoid kat, a female.” Donatello’s
eyes went wide and he dropped his turtle com on the ground. “Donatello? You
okay?”
Picking
up the turtle com once again, Don tried to get his bearings. “Yeah, I am fine.
Sorry about that. Did you say a kat humanoid?” He stuttered.
“Yeah and I know what you’re thinking.
You are absolutely right too. They caught the mutant around the same time those
government officials took Felicia away from you. Believe me, Donatello, if I
knew about this earlier I would have told you sooner.”
“Oh
I know. T-thanks for telling me, April.” Don quickly replied; he felt like the
room was spinning. This couldn’t be true! Could it? He was a bit relieved
knowing that Felicia was still okay but now she was in the hands of Titanus and
HAVOC and there was no way possible he could get back into the hideout to get
her out.
“I hate to cut this short, but I have a
meeting in fifteen minutes!”
“No,
no. You’re fine, April. Thanks for telling me. Donatello out” he shut off the
communicator and placed it back in his belt. Donatello stood there, completely
still for minutes. Thoughts passed his
mind. How was he going to get her out? There was virtually no way he and his
brothers could go to Titanus’ underground base and rescue Felicia without being
caught. To make matters worse, Titanus was really steamed at them and would probably
be blood thirsty to get rid of them. This was going to have to be a solo
mission. “That’s the only option I have. I have to somehow convince Titanus
that I want to rejoin his group. He may actually believe me since I was going
to join him earlier. If I don’t tell the guys it may help me convince him even
more. It shouldn’t take too long.” He walked over to his room’s corner to
retrieve his bo staff. “Yeah this will work! I’ll be back in a day! Okay,
Felicia! I am going to get you back once and for all!” With that, he ran out of
his room towards the entrance of the lair; hoping deep down inside that April
wouldn’t let his brothers know where he went because if they go after him, it
may mess things up.
Donatello
approached the iron door in front of him, which was the entrance to HAVOC. As
he got closer, he began to get second thoughts about doing this alone. He
stopped about twenty feet away from the door and looked up at a security camera
on the ceiling that was tracking down his every move. “Well I can’t turn back
now,” he mumbled as he began to walk once more.
Overdrive ran quickly into Titanus room,
skidding to a stop. “One of those rotten turtles is here, Titanus,” he
stuttered.
“What?!” Titanus asked, totally shocked on
the news. “Show me the camera footage.” Overdrive walked over to a monitor and
pressed a button and up came an image of Donatello standing at the door,
looking around.
High Beam walked in, overhearing the
conversation. “Want me to go out there and fry him?”
Titanus rubbed his chin as he went into
deep thought about the situation. “That was one of those miserable reptiles
that wanted to join our organization. He appears to be alone as well. This
could be quite interesting. Overdrive! High Beam! Let him in but search him
first to get his weapons and anything else that he may be carrying then send
him to me.” His two mutants bowed slightly and took off towards the entrance of
their hideout.
Donatello sighed as he stood at the door.
“This is stupid, Donatello! You’re walking yourself right into a trap! They
probably even won’t let you in!”
Suddenly the doors opened and Overdrive and
High Beam were there to meet him, holding laser blasters at him. “What do you
want?” High Beam growled, still not wanting the turtle to come in at all.
“I came to see Titanus. I want to talk with
him” Don replied quickly, trying to show no sign of nervousness.
“Very well, but we will have to search you
for weapons and anything else,” Overdrive stated as he gave his blaster to High
Beam and walked towards Donatello. Don held up his hands to let them search
him. Not really liking the idea at all but also knowing that he would have no
choice right now. Overdrive took his bo staff and his communicator with him.
“Alright let’s go. Titanus is expecting you.”
The two mutants led Donatello into Titanus’
chamber. This place looked all too familiar to him for it was here where they
met Titanus for the first time. Titanus sat at on his bed like he did before,
staring at Donatello with those small firery eyes. “Yeah, still fat as ever,”
Don grumbled to himself. But something this time was different, beside Titanus
was Felicia! She had a metal collar around her neck and a chain leash connected
to it that led to Titanus’ hand, which he held onto tightly. Felicia was dressed
almost like an Egyptian belly dancer. The top part of her outfit was gold that
had gold beads dangling from it and the bottom part was also the same gold
material and a purple silk fabric ran down from the top of the bottoms to about
her knees. But it didn’t cover her entire body just part of it and it was on
front and back of the bottom part of the outfit. Donatello felt anger boil in
him seeing her dress like this for Titanus! But then her beauty helped die down
some of the anger inside of him.
“Aw! One of the Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles! What a honor! What brings you back to our hideout?” Titanus said in
pleasure, showing no signs of aggression towards Donatello, which made the
turtle very confused.
“I’ve come to speak with you, Titanus.
Alone,” Donatello replied quickly, glancing back at Overdrive and High Beam who
were standing at the door of the chamber.
“Very well,” the large mutant caterpillar
replied. “Leave us.”
Donatello quickly glanced behind him once
more seeing the two mutants grumble as they walked out of the entrance, closing
the door behind them. He then turned
his attention back to Titanus but then his glance went to Felicia. He couldn’t
stop staring at her! After all these years she was just as pretty to him. His
heart started to beat hard as he looked up at her, she smiled as she returned
his glance. Titanus saw Donatello looking at her as well. “I see you have taken
interest in my new slave, turtle.”
“I thought all mutants were on your side,
Titanus. Why is she your slave?” Donatello said, some anger entering his voice.
“Now, now, my dear reptile. I broke her
free from the government to have her join my headquarters. Raptor was lucky
enough to spot her one day but she was defiant to obey me and so I decided to
make her good for something.” Titanus smiled over at Felicia as he gently
rubbed her face with his hand softly. “Very pretty for a mutant, don’t you
think?”
Donatello clenched his teeth as he felt the
hate rising in him again. “Touch her again and I’ll hurt you, you tub of lard,”
he growled to himself.
“Speaking of defiance, what brings you to
our lair again, turtle?” Titanus said as he roughly took his hand off Felicia’s
face and looked at Donatello again but this time with more anger inside of him.
“I’ve come to help you, Titanus, said Don
as he became more relaxed, taking his glance off at Felicia and back at him.
“Oh please. I am not falling for that trick
again, you miserable reptile. Why would want to help me out again?”
“You have watched news. I am sick and tired
of those humans putting us down when we are trying to help them out.”
“But what about the others?”
“They don’t know I am here.”
“We shall see about your loyalty. I have a
job for you to do tomorrow but you must stay with me tonight and I’ll make sure
to keep all the entrances locked just in case.”
“I assure you, that will not be necessary.”
“I’ll be the judge of that. Overdrive!”
The door to his chamber opened and
Overdrive stepped in. “Yes Titanus?”
“Show our guest to his quarters.”
“Follow me.” Overdrive replied, not too
thrill on the idea of Donatello staying with him. Don gave one last quick smile
at Titanus and then followed Overdrive out of the chamber.
Titanus grinned back at Donatello evilly
and then got up from his bed to approach his communications panel. He pressed
the communicator button. “Raptor, come in here and bring High Beam with you!”
Minutes later Raptor and High Beam walked
into the room. “What is it, Titanus?” asked Raptor.
“I want you to take this cat to her cell
for the evening, Raptor,” Titanus replied. Raptor nodded and then took the
chain leash and led Felicia out of the room. Then Titanus turned his attention
to High Beam.
“I don’t like the idea of that stinking
turtle joining us!” High Beam protested.
“I don’t trust him either but I am going to
make sure he’s on our side this time. He claims that his friends do not know of
his whereabouts. I want you and Raptor to go out tomorrow and create chaos to
make the rest of those miserable shellbacks to come to stop you. Then when you
are there I’ll send that turtle and Overdrive to join you. We’ll shall see
exactly whose side he really is on,” Titanus laughed.
Donatello sighed as he stared at the wall
in the room that Overdrive took him in. “Now what I am going to do? I can’t contact
the guys if I need them but I still need to get Felicia out of here. I just
hope that April doesn’t tell them that she talked to me or I will be trapped in
here,” he thought to himself as he stood there. His thoughts were soon
disrupted when he heard somebody walking past his door and chains rattling.
Once he heard the sound fading away, he walked up to the door and opened it up.
Seeing down the hallway, he spotted Raptor leading Felicia who was still in her
chains. Curious on where he was taking her, Donatello decided to follow.
Raptor motioned Felicia to walk into a
small little opened room and once she did, he pressed a button on the wall. A
row of laser beams appeared, covering the open area of the room.
Once making sure that Raptor was gone for
good, Donatello peered around and listened very carefully to make sure that no
one else was coming. Then when he was positive that the coast was clear, he
walked over to the cell and saw Felicia sitting against the wall with her head
in her hands, sobbing. “Hey, don’t be crying like that,” he smiled gently over
at her.
Gasping when she heard his voice, she
looked up and saw Donatello standing there. “Donnie?!” She got up and quickly
and walked up to the laser beams. “I can’t believe that is you! You’ve changed
so much!”
“And you are still beautiful as ever,” he
smiled back gently at her, forgetting where he was at as he stared into her
eyes. “I missed you so much, I am just so glad that you are okay.”
“You really aren’t going to join Titanus
are you?”
“No way. I am trying to persuade him that I
am on his side so I can figure out a way to get you out of here.”
“What about the others?”
“They don’t know I am here.”
“What?! Are you crazy?!”
“Shh…be quiet. Listen, you mustn’t let
Titanus know that you know me or we are really going to be in trouble. I have
to make him believe that I want to be on his side now.” Don looked around,
knowing that since Titanus didn’t trust him completely yet that he had to get
back to his room before they would come to check on him. “I have to go.”
“You can’t leave me,” Felicia persisted.
“And I won’t but you just have to trust me
right now, okay?”
“Okay.”
“I have to get back now but don’t worry. I
will not leave here without you.” Donatello smiled once more at her before he
turned and started to walk back quickly towards his room.
“Donatello,” Felicia called out to him
softly.
He turned around and looked at her, “Yeah?”
“I love you,” she replied as she looked at
him sadly.
“I love you too,” he smiled back as he turned
once more and ran off to his room.
Tossing and turning, Don couldn’t sleep on
the bed that was in his room despite the fact that it wasn’t really comfortable
to begin with. His mind was clouded with thoughts as he began to worry about on
what his brothers were thinking and doing right at the moment. By now, the
turtles could out be looking for him; he hate to worry them but he knew there
was no other choice than to do this alone or was there? “What if this is a big
mistake? Titanus could attack me at any moment with his army of mutants and
then I would have no back up,” he thought to himself, knowing that Titanus
could have a hidden camera in his room, so he had to be careful on what he
said. He just prayed that the turtles didn’t contact April to ask about his
whereabouts because if she tells them that she told Donatello earlier about
Titanus taking Felicia away then they would know for sure where he was and it
could turn out to be disastrous. Plus
another worry was Felicia. If Titanus finds out that Felicia and he both love
each other then this plan is all over as well.
His eyelids started to droop as tiredness
started to overcome but then he quickly opened them up once more. He didn’t
fall asleep for he feared for his safety and Felicia. But he also knew if he
didn’t sleep then he would not have the strength to attack or to protect
himself if something was to go wrong. He sighed once more and then closed his
eyes, drifting off to sleep but he would not sleep well at all.
Leonardo
paced back and forth in the living room; his mind was deeply troubled. “I don’t
like this at all. Donatello never ran off like this before. Where could he be?
And why hasn’t he called us?”
Raphael,
who was sitting on the couch, turned his head back to watch Leonardo pace. “Relax,
Leonardo. He’s a big turtle, he can take care of himself.”
“This
is bizarre, dudes. Donatello never ran off without some reason,” Michelangelo
added.
“If
I may interject a point, my sons,” Splinter said softly as he entered the
living room. “Earlier today, I noted
that Donatello was troubled when I mentioned Felicia. Perhaps he went out again
to clear his mind.”
“That’s
the last time, we let Donatello have a girlfriend,” Raphael teasingly joked.
“Lighten
up, bud! He lost his entire family!” Michelangelo snapped back.
“Looks,
let’s not argue again, okay? Why don’t we call April and ask her,” Leo
suggested as he reached back in his belt to retrieve his turtle communicator.
“No
can do. It’s 1am, the dudette’s probably already asleep by now,” Michelangelo
replied.
“Michelangelo
is right. Call her in the morning,” Splinter added. “I suggest all of you get
some rest now as well.” With that he turned and left.
“Thank
goodness, “Raphael stated as he followed Splinter towards his own room.
Michelangelo
looked back at Leonardo, who still seemed a bit troubled. “Come on, Leonardo.
We can look for him tomorrow.”
“Yeah
you’re right,” his brother stated as he followed.
The
next morning, right before sunrise, Overdrive walked into Don’s room and tapped
him gently. “Wake up, Titanus wants to see you.” Donatello arose from the bed,
and followed Overdrive without saying anything.
Once again in Titanus’ chamber, Donatello
quickly spotted Felicia at her usual spot near Titanus’ bed. By the look on her
face, it appeared that she hadn’t slept well either that night. Her focus was
directly on him but he quickly looked away not wanting Titanus to suspect
anything. “Ah, reptile, nice to see you up. I hope you got some rest last
night. We have a difficult task ahead of us,” Titanus quickly spoke as he
reached over to the plate of fruit that Felicia was holding in her hands,
picking up a bushel of grapes and throwing into his mouth.
“What is this task, Titanus?” Don asked
with curiosity.
“You will find out when you get there. I’ll
send in Raptor and Highbeam first and then you and Overdrive. I am trusting
that you will do well.”
“Of course, Titanus.”
“Very well, then. Now go with the others,
we shall see on your performance.”
Donatello slightly bowed and then turned to
follow the other mutants out of the room. “I can’t do this. Something is up
but I don’t know what it is. If only I had my turtle comm. I could contact the
others but that tub of lard has it and Felicia! I just wish I knew what I was
walking into.”
April sighed as stopped her van behind the
car that was in front of her; how she hated morning rush traffic! The traffic
was barely moving, almost at a stand still! Her van rolled along slowly behind
the other cars, making its way across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan; but
now the traffic stopped and April’s van was stuck about halfway over the
bridge. She sighed and looked over at her watch, seeing that she was going to
be late for work. “What else is going
to go wrong today?” she muttered out loud
Donatello stood beside Overdrive in the
alley, his mind clouded with thoughts. Highbeam and Raptor had run off in an
opposite direction when he left HAVOC Headquarters. “So, Overdrive, what exactly are we going to do?” he asked
coolly.
“I am not telling you, you dirty turtle!”
Overdrive snapped back and then looked around the corner of the alley,
anxiously.
“Hey, I’m on your side now. You can trust
me,” Donatello said slyly as he placed his hand on Overdrive’s shoulder. He
stepped forward, trying to look around the corner to see what on earth the
mutant cheetah was looking at. But just
as he did, Overdrive’s communicator beeped.
“What is it?” Overdrive asked as he took
his communicator from his belt.
“We are ready for you two,” Highbeam
said over at the other end.
“Right. Let’s go, reptile,” Overdrive
replied as he put the communicator back into his belt and then took off down
the street.
Still confused and now becoming worried on
what exactly he was going to do, Donatello followed.
Almost
dozing off from waking up so early, April suddenly became wide-awake when she
heard the sound of an explosion up ahead towards the end of the bridge. “What
are on earth?!” She opened her van door and stepped out onto the asphalt,
trying to get a better look. Up ahead, she saw two of Titanus’ mutants
attacking the bridge! Raptor was flying around at the cars as Highbeam was
using his laser eyes to burn the bridge’s cables. “They are going to take this
bridge out!” April jumped back into her van to retrieve her turtle comm. “April
to Turtles. Please come in!”
Raphael yawned as he still was trying to
wake up; he was sitting on the floor of the exercise room, watching Leonardo
practicing his moves. “Can’t I go back to bed for just a few more minutes?”
“Hey, you’re the one who stayed up watching
late night television shows, Raphael. Now you’re going to have pay for it. Now
stand up and spar with me,” Leonardo replied sternly as he placed his two
wooden, practice katanas against the wall.
Suddenly they heard their communicator
beeping. “It’s the turtle comm.!” Leonardo said as he reached into his belt to
retrieve it.
“Yes! Saved by the beep!,” Raphael
exclaimed as he yawned once more, and then slid back some against the wall to
recline.
Leonardo flashed him a mean look and then
answered, “What is it, April?”
“Guys, I am here on the Brooklyn Bridge
in the morning traffic and two HAVOC mutants are trying to bring the bridge
down!”
Leonardo flashed Raphael a worried look and
then replied, “Okay, April. Just hang on, we’re on our way!” He put the
communicator back into his belt and then looked back at Raphael. “Come on,
Turtles!”
“But dude, what about Donatello?”
Michelangelo asked as he walked into the living room to meet up with his two
other brothers.
“We’ll try to contact him on the way
there,” Leonardo quickly answered as he led his two brothers out of their lair
and to where the Turtle Van was parked.
After all of them got inside, Leonardo
started the ignition and drove the van from the tunnel and onto the freeway of
the city. Michelangelo, who was sitting behind the front seat, reached over to
the dashboard of the van to get the turtle communicator. “I’ll try to contact
the Donster.” He pressed the talk button on the communicator, “Donatello come
in. Where are you?” But all he got in return was just static. “Major, bummer!
He’s not answering!”
“We can’t worry about him right now,
Michelangelo!” Leonardo said frustrated.
Raptor grinned evilly when he spotted the
Channel 6 News van about ten cars in front of him. He flew up to the van and
landed right beside it. Before April could have a chance to lock her doors, he
tore off the driver’s side door and threw it aside. “Well, well. Look who it
is, Highbeam?” he called out to his partner.
“The one human that I wanted to fry first,”
Highbeam replied as he walked up towards her in anger.
“Don’t you lay one hand on her!” a voice
cried out from behind the two mutants.
Highbeam and Raptor looked behind them and
saw three of the turtles approaching them. “You stinking turtles! I am going to
fry you!,” Highbeam roared as he shot a laser at them. The turtles cried out as
they jumped out of the way but the laser hit one of the cables that was
connected to the middle portion of the bridge.
The bridge jolted a little by the hit.
“Guys, don’t let him hit the bridge again!”
Leonardo cried out.
Overdrive led Donatello towards the freeway
that connected to Brooklyn Bridge. “He’s leading me up there?! All of those
people…”he said gently to himself.
“Come on, slow poke! We are going to make
those humans pay by taking down their bridge!” Overdrive laughed evilly as he
ran faster to meet up with his comrades with Donatello trailing behind.
Highbeam grinned to himself when he saw
Overdrive and Donatello approaching the other three turtles from behind. “What
took you so long?”
The turtles looked behind them and saw
Overdrive and Donatello approaching them. “D-Donatello?” Leonardo said, his
heart almost stopping at the sight of his brother with one of Titanus’ mutants.
“Tell me this is just a bad dream,” Raphael
commented.
“Dude! You are suppose to be on our
side,” Michelangelo added angrily.
“Now we’ll see how loyal you are to us, mutant,”
Overdrive said to Donatello. “Attack them.”
Donatello’s eyes went wide as he looked
over at his brothers. “There has to be some way out of this. I can’t fight
my own brothers but I can’t let those dumb mutants know that I’m not on their
side or I’ll lose Felicia. I hope I can come up with a plan soon enough. May my
brothers forgive me for this.” He thought to himself, as his eyes narrowed
down; he retrieved his bo staff from the back of his belt and held it into an
attacking position.
“This is nutzoid!” Michelangelo exclaimed
as he looked at Donatello and took his nunchuks out in a defensive position.
“Prepare to defend yourself, turtles!”
Leonardo said to his two brothers as he kept looking over at the two HAVOC
mutants who were behind them, to make sure that they weren’t going to pull
anything.
“Um, excuse me, Mr. Leader. We are going to
attack him?” Raphael whispered over to Leonardo.
“Not unless I have to, Raphael. Let me get
him first, ok?,” Leonardo replied.
Highbeam looked up over at Donatello to see
him still standing there. He grinned evilly at him. “If I don’t make a move
now, they are going to know for sure that I am not really with them,”
Donatello whispered to himself. He let out a cry as he charged at his brothers.
“Michelangelo, Raphael! Keep your eye out
on those mutants! I’ll handle him!” Leonardo growled through his teeth as he
gripped the handle on his swords tighter.
“Hi-ya!!!” Donatello cried out as he jumped
towards him, his bo staff coming straight down towards Leo’s head! Seeing the
attack coming, Leonardo quickly put his swords back into their sheaths and
grabbed the bo staff, pushing upwards, to keep it from the deadly blow.
“Donatello! Ugh! Why are you doing this?”
he asked as he groaned, trying to keep the bo away from him but yet not wanting
to strike back against his brother. Without saying a word back, Donatello
swiftly swung his bo staff to the right, causing Leonardo to lose his grip and
fly off onto the asphalt about five feet away.
Seeing his brother fly past him,
Michelangelo turned around and glared at Donatello angrily. “You creepola!” he
cried with tears coming from his eyes as he charged at Donatello in anger,
knocking him to the ground. Don’s bo staff rolled away from his hand.
Leonardo quickly got up, and turned to go
back to where Donatello and Michelangelo were now fighting but Raptor grabbed
the back of his shell, stopping him in his tracks. “Going somewhere, turtle?”
asked Raptor as he grinned.
Donatello grunted as he pushed his hands
against Mike’s trying to get him off. He quickly looked around and noticed that
all of HAVOC’s mutants were busy and now was his chance to tell his brothers
what was really going on. “Ugh! Michelangelo, listen to me. I am on your side,”
he strained as he tried to keep his brother from hitting him.
“Then why the heck are you attacking us?”
Michelangelo snapped back, still looking at his brother angrily.
“Look, I’ll explain later. But you have to
trust me on this okay? Start to choke me,” Don said, noticing that Mike was
loosening his grip from Donatello’s hands. Michelangelo looked at him
puzzledly.
“Please just trust me on this,
Michelangelo,” whispered Don as he took another glance back over to make sure
the mutants were still occupied.
“Dude, you really have gone nutzoid. But
I’ll trust you,” Michelangelo replied as he put his hands around Don’s neck,
gently choking him.
Don smiled up at him and winked. “Ugh, guys
help me! Overdrive!” Donatello gasped as he pretended to lose breath from
Michelangelo’s choking.
“One of those turtles has our pal!”
Overdrive exclaimed as he looked over at Donatello.
“I’ll fry that miserable turtle!” Highbeam
replied as he walked up towards where Michelangelo and Donatello were fighting.
Seeing Highbeam approaching his two
brothers, “Michelangelo, look out!!” Leonardo cried out.
Highbeam growled out as he shot his lasers
towards where Michelangelo and Donatello were. “Whoa!” Mike cried out as he
jumped away from the shot, but the laser beam hit the asphalt of the bridge
that was underneath Donatello, knocking it away, causing Donatello to fall
through and down into the harbor below.
“Ahhhhhhhhh!!” Donatello cried out, his
voice fading away as he fell down from the Brooklyn Bridge and then there was a
splash and his voice disappeared when he hit the water.
Both Leonardo and Raphael stopped their
fights and witnessed the terrible event, their eyes wide. “DUDE!!!”
Michelangelo cried out as he rushed over to the hole in the bridge and looked
below but all he could see was just the water.
“Why did you do that? He was on our
side!” Overdrive protested as he ran over to Highbeam.
“Hey! I was trying to protect him. It’s
just a pity that he had to die for it. Let’s go back to headquarters. I am done
here,” Highbeam replied and ran off towards the end of the bridge, with Raptor
following. Overdrive gave one more glance back over to where the three turtles
were now standing at the bridge and then followed his comrades back to HAVOC
headquarters.
“Quickly! We have to get down towards the
banks of the harbor!” Leonardo shouted to his brothers as he ran towards the Turtle
Van. Michelangelo and Raphael soon joined him in the van.
Donatello coughed as he crawled up on the
grassy bank from the harbor. He saw the Turtle Van approaching him and slowly
managed to stand up. “Dude! You’re alive!” Michelangelo exclaimed happily as he
ran towards his brother, with Leonardo and Raphael following.
“Luckily since that goon totally forgot I
was a turtle, I am alive,” Donatello stated, as he looked at Michelangelo,
fearing what would come from his other two brothers.
“Good! Then I can kill you!” Raphael growled
out as he started to approach him.
“Whoa! Chill out, bud! He’s on our side!”
Michelangelo cried out, grabbing Raphael’s arm.
“Michelangelo, were you not present during
that last battle? He was clearly fighting for them! Ask Leonardo!” Raphael said
as he jerked his arm away and then looked over at his leader, crossing his
arms.
“Donatello, why don’t you explain what was
going on?” Leonardo asked gently, trying to make the tension die down.
“Look, I don’t have a lot of time to talk.
Those mutants may come back to check up on things so I’ll be brief. I got a
call from April yesterday telling me that Titanus had Felicia at his
headquarters,” Donatello sighed as he sat back down on the grassy bank, his
mind clouded with thoughts on what to do about Felicia, as he spoke to his
brothers.
“Titanus has Felicia? I thought those
government official dudes grabbed her,” Michelangelo replied as he sat down to
join his brother.
“Well they did but Titanus broke in and
stole her, thinking that she was actually some kind of mutant. I knew it would be impossible for all four
of us to get into HAVOC headquarters without a fight, so I thought since last
time I almost joined his group, that he would actually believe my word about
wanting to be with him again. I had no idea what kind of setup Titanus had in
mind to test my loyalty. He took my
communicator so there was no way I could contact you.”
“Well we must come up with a way now to get
back into HAVOC,” Leonardo said as he walked back towards the Turtle Van. “I
guess we can talk about it more at the lair.”
“No, no! Listen, I am the one who
brought her back to this dimension. Because of what I did, she is now kidnapped
by Titanus, which means that I have to be the one to get her back,”
Donatello protested as he quickly stood back up and faced Leonardo.
“A turtle can easily get killed that way,”
Michelangelo replied as he looked at Donatello worriedly.
“Michelangelo does have a point, Donatello.
If you go back now to Titanus then we won’t be able to get to you if you need help,”
Leonardo sighed heavily, knowing for sure what action they would have to take
despite his arguments.
“I have a plan, guys. This will work trust
me. All I have to do is go back to Titanus and tell him that I will show him
where our lair is. He will love the idea of revenge and become so blinded by it
that I know for sure it will work.
Hopefully, he will give me enough mutants to take with me that he will
leave headquarters empty. Then while I am leading those dumb mutants on a
wild-goose chase, you three can get into the headquarters and rescue Felicia.
I’ll lead them to the southern portion of the sewers towards the old subway
tunnel. But I’ll have to get one of my gadgets out of the van, which will allow
you guys to get the access codes to get in the place.” Donatello opened the
back doors of the Turtle Van to hunt through the small cabinet underneath the
computer console to find what he was looking for.
“Are you out of your shell, Donatello? What
will you do when the mutants find out that it is a setup?” Raphael asked as he
walked up to the back doors of the van, watching his brother.
“I don’t know. I’ll think up something by
then. That’s why I am the brainy one,” Donatello grinned as he took out a small
black box from the cabinet. He walked out of the van and handed it to Leonardo.
“It’s my fingerprinting kit. All you have to do is to take the small brush with
the powder on it and dust the keypad console located outside of HAVOC
headquarters, then you will see which pads were pushed. Hopefully it won’t be a
long number so you can finger out the pattern in no time. Well, I need to be
going now. Plan on moving out towards headquarters in about two hours.” Before
any more of his brothers could protest, Donatello swiftly ran out of sight.
“I hate it when he’s stubborn like that,”
Raphael remarked as he watched Donatello vanish.
“Come on, guys. We better tell Master
Splinter about this, just in case Donatello needs help,” Leonardo said as he
walked up to the driver’s side of the van and got in, Michelangelo and Raphael
climbed into the back.
“Oh I better be right about this,”
Donatello said gently to himself as he stood at the door once more at HAVOC
Headquarters.
The door to the headquarters opened and
there stood Titanus himself. “Ah, reptile. I see that you are not dead after
all.”
“Yeah, luckily for you. May I come in?”
Donatello said.
“Of course,” Titanus smiled back, but
Donatello felt uneasy by his tone. “My other mutants are in my chamber, shall
we go there and discuss our attack on the bridge.”
Inside Titanus’ chamber stood Overdrive,
Highbeam, Raptor and of course Felicia, who stood in the corner of the room,
her wrists were chained. “Y-You’re alive?” Overdrive managed to say as he saw
Donatello walk in with Titanus.
“That’s impossible! You fell from that
bridge!” Highbeam roared.
“Highbeam, you sound like as if you wanted
me to die,” Donatello smirked back at him.
“Which I hope he does not,” Titanus said
sternly. “My mutants told me that you showed your loyalty and did attack the
other three turtles. I am very pleased by this. But unfortunately the bridge is
still there.”
“Exactly, then why do we need this turtle
anymore, Titanus?” Highbeam said angrily
“You nitwit! We need all the mutants we can
get for our cause against the humans,” Raptor snapped back. “He helped us
attack the bridge, clearly he does not care for those inferior species.”
“Titanus, I think we should have a feast
tonight. The main course can be roast chicken!” Highbeam yelled out angrily as
he walked towards Raptor.
“Be silent the both of you! However, I feel
that you, Highbeam, do have a point.
Reptile, what can you offer to us?” Titanus asked as he got back up onto
his bed and glanced back over at the mutants before him.
“Well first of all, I can give you the turtles.
Since after all I know where the lair is. I know how bad you are mad against
us. Plus after all I am the brainy one. I can help you build any
inventions that you may acquire,” Donatello grinned over to Titanus, trying his
best not to look over at Felicia.
“This is probably just a trap, Titanus!”
Highbeam protested.
“Could be. But I do love the
proposition. Very well, turtle. But,
however, I will send more mutants with you. Just to be sure the job is done
this time,” Titanus grinned over at Donatello evilly.
“That’s exactly what I was hoping for,
you fat tub of lard,” Donatello said to himself, he nodded to Titanus. “May
we go now?”
“Very well, then. Raptor! Go get Magma and
Seizure to take with you as well,” Titanus said. “You may go now.”
About a hour later at HAVOC Headquarters. “Leonardo,
are you sure that we are giving Donatello enough time?” Raphael whispered as he
nervously watched the front door.
“I hope that we did; we waited for a hour,”
Leonardo whispered back as he dusted the buttons. “I think I finally figured
out the codes for this lock.”
“Well good! Just go ahead and press it
already! I really don’t want to fight anymore mutants tonight,” Raphael said
back as he held his sais tightly in his hands, giving a glance over to
Michelangelo.
“Got it!” Leonardo cheered as the door to
HAVOC headquarters slid across, giving them access to inside.
Donatello looked around in front of him as
he led Titanus’ mutants down the sewers. Luckily for him, they really didn’t
know the general area of their lair except for the fact that it was in the
sewer. So naturally, Donatello was
leading them in the opposite direction, he just hoped that his brothers could
get out of HAVOC headquarters with Felicia before the mutants caught onto his
scheme. “How much father is it?” Seizure complained, starting not to like the
trip one bit.
“I think this turtle is leading us in the
wrong way!” Highbeam cried out.
Donatello’s eyes went wide when he heard
Highbeam say that, but luckily for him, he was in front so no one saw his face.
“Hey! Titanus gave me orders to lead to the lair. But by all means if you know
how to get there, why don’t you lead? Of course if you do go in the
wrong way, you could go far as Pennsylvania. Plus getting lost down here is
bad, because once you do, you’ll never find your way out of here. But by all
means, Highbeam, why don’t you lead?”
“I do not want to stay down here all my
life! Shut up, Highbeam!” Overdrive growled. “Go on, reptile!” The other
mutants agreed with Overdrive so Donatello smiled and turned around to keep
leading the way.
“That was close,” Donatello said to
himself, as he wiped the sweat from his brow.
“Soon those wretched turtles will be out of
my way forever! Then the entire world will be mutants like us!” Titanus laughed
as he got up from the bed and looked over at Felicia, who stared at him
angrily. He noticed her look, “Why be so angry at me? Then you won’t be a freak
anymore in this world.” He smiled as he ran his hand across her face.
Felicia growled and moved away. “You’re a
psycho, Titanus!”
“You will say that now but soon you will
have no choice to except me as your ruler when the entire world will be just
like us. You are very beautiful, my dear. I could give you anything you wanted
if you would just submit to me like that turtle did. He’s very smart you know.”
Titanus replied as he took his hand and moved it down her arm gently, looking
at her with hunger in his eyes. Felicia knew exactly what he wanted.
“I rather be dead!” She growled out as she
kicked him swiftly in the stomach.
“You treacherous feline!” He cried out as
he grabbed her arm, squeezing it hard.
“Let her go, Titanus!” Leonardo cried out
as he and his two brothers charged into the room.
Titanus’ eyes went wide. “How can this be?!
I sent my mutants to get rid of you!”
“Don’t you know anything, Titanus? We set
you up, fatso!” Raphael grinned as he twirled his sais.
“I’ll destroy you myself!” The mutant
caterpillar roared as he threw Felicia back into the corner, near his bed where
her metal collar and chains were. He growled out and smacked Michelangelo and
Raphael out of the way into the wall. Leonardo growled through his teeth and
charged at Titanus but the same thing was done to him.
“Not this again,” Raphael groaned as he
rubbed the back of his head from the impact with the wall.
“I’m going to crush you miserable turtles!”
Titanus roared as he started to charge towards them.
Felicia gasped out as she saw Titanus
running towards the turtles. She glanced around her and saw the chain and the
metal collar that she use to have to wear. “Wait a minute, this could
possibly work,” she said to herself.
“Any ideas, leader?” Raphael groaned as he
stood back up, seeing Titanus running towards them.
“Yeah! Jump!!” Leonardo cried out as he and
his brothers jumped to the sides, just in time before Titanus jumped down to
where they were sitting at.
Michelangelo rolled onto the floor and then
looked over at Felicia who was motioning to him. She was pointing to where she
was standing at and holding up the chain and collar. “Gotcha, dudette!” He ran
over close to where Felicia was standing.
“Hey, Fatzilla!! Hit me if you can!”
“You insolent reptile!” Titanus screamed as
he got up and started to charge hard at Michelangelo.
“He’s crazy!” Raphael remarked, hearing
what Michelangelo calling out to Titanus.
“Michelangelo! Get out of there!” Leonardo
called out to him.
As soon as Titanus was near him,
Michelangelo jumped to the left and hopped over the bed. Titanus growled out
and turned back around, looking at Leonardo and Raphael. Fire seemed to be in
his eyes. “You!!!”
“M-Maybe if we don’t move, he won’t see
us,” Raphael gulped.
Felicia grinned and snapped the metal
collar around Titanus’ right ankle. As soon as Leonardo saw her do that, he
said, “Come on, Titanus! Come and get us!”
“You bet I will, miserable human lovers!”
Titanus shouted as he stepped forward to go towards them but the metal collar
and chain caught him off guard and it made him fall down on the floor, flat on
his face! He growled out and saw his ankle hooked up to the chain to the wall.
“How dare you, you miserable cat!” He growled and tried to jump towards her
since she was in the corner but Raphael jumped over in front of him, picking up
Felicia.
“Hands off, blimpy!” He shouted out as he
jumped out of the way towards the door of the room to where his brothers were.
Titanus roared out in frustration as he tried to pull at his chain to get free.
“Come on! We better get out of here! That
chain won’t last much longer!” Leonardo shouted as he led his brothers and
Felicia out of HAVOC Headquarters.
Titanus
roared loudly as he jerked as hard as he could on the chain, pulling it
completely out of the wall. “Those miserable shellbacks! They will pay dearly
for this treachery!” He walked up to his communication console. “Highbeam, come
in!”
Donatello’s heart almost stopped when he
heard the communicator on Highbeams’ belt beep. “Hold up,” Highbeam said as he reached down to retrieve his
communicator. “What is it, Titanus?”
“That miserable turtle tricked you!
Those turtles came here and took away my mutant slave! Send the others back
here just in case we have another attack! You may stay back and get rid of that
one for his disloyalty.” Titanus said over on the other end.
“My pleasure,” Highbeam replied. “The rest
of you go back to headquarters. I’ll deal with him, myself.”
Donatello gulped as he took a few steps
back away from Highbeam to give him some more room. “Ha! I can deal with you,” he said as he got into a defensive
position.
“We shall see eye to eye!” Highbeam shot his
lasers at Donatello but Don quickly jumped out of the way to avoid him.
“You’re going to have to do better than
that, insect face!” Donatello grinned. “Hi-ya!” He did a low sweeping kick,
knocking Highbeam to the ground. But Highbeam quickly kicked him in the middle
part of his shell, knocking him down onto the ground, and then jumped on top of
him. “Time for you to die,” he hissed.
The other turtles and Felicia ran up to
where Donatello and Highbeam were fighting at, about twenty feet away. Felicia
gasped when she heard Highbeam say that to Donatello. She reached over and
quickly took Raph’s sais out of his belt.
“Hey!” Raph snapped when he saw what she
was doing.
“Donatellooo!!” She cried out as she threw
one of the sais at Highbeam. The sai gripped onto sleeve of his outfit, pinning
him to the wall nearby, making Donatello safe for the moment. Donatello and
Highbeam both gasped when they saw this happened, their eyes wide.
Donatello looked over at to see Felicia
standing there with the other sai in her hand, ready to attack. “F-Felicia?”
“Do not move, Highbeam, or this next one
won’t miss you at all,” Felicia growled through her teeth as she kept the grip
on the sai tightly.
“How dare you!” Highbeam screamed as he
shot his lasers towards Felicia and the other turtles.
“Look out guys!” Donatello screamed. The
laser beam hit the ground beneath them causing Felicia and the others to fly
back into the wall some. “Time to put his lights out!” Don jumped up and turned
the wheel on one of the pipes, making the line becoming open. “This sewer
sludge should make him unable to see!” The sludge poured down onto Highbeam
covering his entire body, including his eyes.
“My eyes! They burn!” He cried out as he
struggled to get away.
“Ha! Serves you right,” Donatello grinned
as he turned the wheel back to turn off the line, seeing that Highbeam was
unable to fire for the moment. He ran over to where the others were. “You guys
okay?”
“Oh well my whole body aches and I have
nearly been fried! But I am fine, really,” Raphael sarcastically said as he
smiled, wiping the dirt from his body.
“Donatello!” Felicia cried out as she ran
up to him and hugged him tightly. Don couldn’t help but to smile and hold him
close to her. The thought of her being close to him enough for him to hold her
haunted his mind for years earlier. He was unable to say a word but his tears
that he shed clearly showed his true emotion. Leonardo and Raphael winked at
each other as they watched the happy reunion.
Michelangelo whistled over to Felicia.
“Man, what kind of clothes are you wearing? You look hot!” He said grinning.
“Eyes off, Michelangelo. She’s taken,”
Donatello grinned as he pulled Felicia in front of him to make her lead back to
the lair.
“Oh come on, dude! I was just playing! Let
me get up there!” Michelangelo said as he tried to walk in front.
“No, you stay back,” Donatello teasingly
said as he held out his arms to keep Michelangelo back. “And as soon as she
gets back to the lair, she’s changing out of those clothes.”
“Hey, I kind of like this outfit,” Felicia
smirked as she turned around to face Donatello but still walking backwards.
“I know you, but you shouldn’t be wearing
that kind of stuff,” Donatello replied.
“Why not?”
“You know why,” Donatello said shyly, very
unable to actually tell her why.
“Because you’re babelicious!” Michelangelo
chimed in.
“Michelangelooooo!” Donatello growled as he
started to chase Michelangelo down the sewer. Leonardo, Raphael and Felicia
couldn’t help but to watch them and laugh.
THE END
