Part 5 of the TMNT/SK Crossover

NOTE: Even though this fic takes place years from the beginning, Donatello will look like the Don off the episodes “Convicts from Dimension X” and “Night of the Dark Turtle.”  Enjoy!

Felicia tossed and turned throughout her sleep that night. No matter how badly she tried to push the dreams away they kept coming back and more intense each time.  There he was! Razor!  How badly she wanted to hold him and each time in the dream she did but as soon as she woke up, she realized it was just a dream. Each dream had him in it anymore and each time it was past memories of her and him together. "Jake!" she cried out as she woke up, breathing hard, her eyes filled with tears. Felicia looked around and held her head, her mind was swirling and she felt so sick to her stomach.  She got up quickly from the bed and pulled her pink gown down that she was wearing to fix it and tiptoed quietly out of her room towards the entrance of the lair, knowing she was about to get sick.

About ten minutes, Felicia crawled back in the bed, feeling so horrible. She had gotten sick and she felt so ill. Her skin was almost as pale as it could be. She sobbed a little and wiped her eyes. She pulled her knees to her chest as she sat on the bed and looked at her clock noticing that it was five in the morning, knowing that the turtles would be up soon to do their morning practice. But this time she would sit out from practicing. Not only because she was sick, she felt weird and she felt so horrible from what she did to Razor. Years had passed since she decided to stay with Donatello and they had gotten really close, closer than she would ever anticipate.  True, she did love Donatello but she felt so horrible she just wished that she knew that she didn't affect Razor anyway by deciding to stay and live with the turtles. Felicia sniffed and wiped the tears from her eyes. "They treat me so well here, I don't deserve this." She was right. April had become a really close friend with her and had taken her out to find some decent clothes and Splinter used one of the spare rooms for her new bedroom and some of the furniture that she had at the moment was almost brand new! Then there was Donatello. He was treating her so nicely she felt so bad. She sighed and closed her eyes but as soon as she did, there was Razor's face again! She opened her eyes out and let out a gasp, breathing hard again. Felicia got up quickly hoping to not be tempted to go back to sleep but as soon as she did, a huge wave of nausea fell over her and she returned once more to her bed, holding her head.

"Yo, dude, have you seen my Frosty Flakes?" Mike asked as he searched the cabinets in the kitchen as his stomach growled from lack of food.

"I'll sprinkle some sugar on you and then I'll find one," Raph remarked as winked over at Donatello and poured his corn flakes on his pizza.

"You mean these?" Leo asked as he took a box of cereal out of the cabinet and showed it to Michelangelo.

"Awesome!" Mike shouted as he eagerly grabbed the cereal box and sat down quickly in his chair beside Donatello and accidentally bumped Don making him smear his pizza on his face.

     "Hey!" Don cried out.

"Oops," his brother replied as he smiled nervously at Don and then refocused his attention on his pizza.

Don shook his head and grumbled a little as he wiped the cereal and tomato sauce off his face with his napkin. "Michelangelo, what about your diet?" Splinter asked as he walked into the kitchen. "What did I tell you about watching what you eat?"

"Master, I am watching what I eat. I am watching it go into my mouth," Mike replied as he shoved a whole slice pizza into his mouth and sighed with pleasure.  Leo shook his head.

"Hey guys," Felicia said softly as she walked into the kitchen, wearing her black sweat pants and a white t-shirt. She was pale as she could be and she still felt a little woozy but she didn't feel like eating. All of the turtles stopped eating and looked up at her.

     "You okay dudette?" Michelangelo asked.

"Yeah I am fine. I've been having some bad dreams. I am going to out for awhile and get some fresh air," she replied as she tried not to look at the pizza for it was making her woozy again.

Don quickly stood up from the table. "I'll go with you."

"No, it's okay. You eat your pizza," Felicia quickly replied, stammering a little as she walked out into the kitchen into the living room to get her jacket. Donatello watched her and then followed her into the living room giving Michelangelo time to grab a slice of his pizza.

"Felicia, what's wrong?" Don asked as he pursued after her, he knew she was unhappy about something.

She turned around quickly and looked at him, becoming annoyed. "Nothing is wrong! Now will you just leave me alone?!"  She growled out in frustration as she put on her jacket and walked out of the lair leaving Donatello standing there, dumbfounded.

He sighed and then turned around and saw the rest of his family looking at him with wide-eyed expressions on their faces. "What are you guys looking at?" With that, he turned and walked towards his bedroom, totally hurt on Felicia's behavior.

Felicia sighed sadly as she walked through the streets of the outskirts of New York. She pulled her jacket closer to her as she felt the cool air hitting her.  She felt horrible for snapping on Donatello like that but she didn't feel good and the dreams that she was having weren't helping the situation.  "I just really miss him.." She sighed and looked around as she walked down the street and up ahead she saw a salvage yard! Her heart started to pound hard. She ran quickly over to it and gripped the fence staring inside. Tears began to pour down her cheeks from her eyes, matting her fur. She sobbed and sobbed and each time it became harder. How she wanted to see him again but knew she couldn't.  Her muscles tensed up as she gripped the fence harder. "RAZOR!!!" She collapsed to her knees and wept. Little did she know that in the shadows in the alley from across the street someone was watching her. A mutant turtle with a purple bandanna on was watching her.

About three hours later, Felicia finally returned to the lair and walk straight into her room.  She didn't feel right at all, not only the fact by the dreams she was having but also she was terribly sick and it was bothering her since she feared on what it could be. She had to go away for a while and knew that would be best.  "Where are you going?," a voice asked her.

She looked up and to her horror there stood Donatello looking at her packing her bags with a sad face.  "I-I just need to get away for awhile, Donnie. I think it would be best."

Donatello sighed and looked down. "You miss Razor don't you?"

Felicia gasped and looked up at him with a confused look on her face, which he noticed and sighed hard. "Look, Don. I just need to be away for a while by myself. I haven't felt good recently."

"Well how long will you be gone?," he asked as he tried to compose himself and stood there at the door, resting his arm up on the frame.

"I don't know, probably a year at least," she replied as she zipped up her bag.

"A year?!," Don said, his eyes wide.

"Don't worry, I'll call you in a couple of months. I won't totally isolate you. I just need to be alone and clear my head," she said softly as she walked over to him. "I'll be back by Christmas I promise."

Donatello nodded sadly as he felt tears fill his eyes. "I just don't want you to go. I'm going to miss you."

"Trust me, it will be best for both of us. I promise I'll be back," she said gently, knowing that she shouldn't stay any longer before they do persuade her to stay. She didn't feel right and she didn't think that Donnie needed to know about it right now. She leaned in closely and softly kissed his lips.

"Well I guess this is it. I'll see you in a year," he said gently. Felicia nodded and then walked out of her room towards the entrance of the lair. Passing the other 3 turtles that looked dumbfounded.

"Where is she going,  Donatello?," Leonardo asked as he stood there watching her leave the lair.

"She's um going away for a while. She said she would be back in a year," Don said. He sighed sadly and looked down at the floor trying to fight his sadness and anger that started to rise in him.

"Did you try to show her one of your inventions again," Raph teasingly said. "What did I tell you about that, bro?"

"Shut up, Raphael! She misses her SWAT Kat," Donatello said as the remarked from Raph released his anger. He quickly took out his bo staff.

"Whoa whoa! It was just a joke!," Raph said as he stepped away from Don.

"What are you doing, bud?," Mike asked looking at Don with a scared look on his face.

"Something that I should have done years ago!," he cried out in anger as he stormed off into his lab with his brothers following, scared but curious at the same time. They saw him walking towards his portal machine with fire in his eyes.

"Donatello, no!," Leonardo screamed as he and his brothers ran over to Donatello and grabbed him away from the machine, Mike grabbed the bo out of his hand. Raph and Leo looked at each other with worried looks on their faces.

******************************************************************

A year passed and Felicia had called Donatello a couple of times during that time and told him that she was staying with April and that she was going to visit him on Christmas Eve because she had a present for him and she missed him very much.  After talking with April about her dreams, she felt better and knew that she loved Donatello. The dreams she had just sparked old memories of Razor and April told her that was normal for old loves and that it would go away and it did! Many nights April and Felicia would drink cups of hot cocoa and Felicia would always talk about Donatello and April would tell her about the memories on how she met the turtles and all of their adventures before Felicia came to their world.  Once Don found out that Felicia was staying at April's, he became very eager to go see her but Splinter told him to be patient and give her the time like she asked.

Around September, Felicia had decided to attend a community college in the city for one semester since in her dimension she was unable to attend college due to her parents’ deaths.  Trying to make her fit in with the other students, April bought Felicia long loose skirts to hide her tail and she wore a black toboggan on her head to hide her ears.  As December approached with exams, Felicia started to stay at the college more at evenings to review for her tests.  Feeling safe, she decided to stay one Monday night till about nine at the college. Due to the cold weather, Felicia wore her black, long, cloth skirt and a white long sleeved sweater with the black toboggan on her head. She walked towards the math building to take the elevator to go down to the parking lot, carrying her biology textbook and notebook in her arms. As she walked towards the building, she heard footsteps behind her, sounding like dress shoes of some type. Felicia glanced back and saw two men in long brown trench coats following her with determined looks on their faces. Becoming alarmed, she started to quicken her pace but as she approached the building she broke off to a run.

“Alpha team, this is Beta leader. The mutant has went into the building, send a team of two inside, I’ll go in myself,” one of them in the trench coats said through a radio. He nodded at his partner and then ran into the building in pursuit of Felicia.

Becoming terribly frightened, Felicia dropped her books and hurried as fast as she could down the stairwell towards the first floor, hearing one of the men right on her heels. Seeing the door to the parking lot at the very end of the hall, she took off as fast as she could but her heart stopped as she saw two similar dressed men walking in through that door, approaching her. Crying out in alarm, she turned around and started to make her way back but saw the man that was chasing her approaching from that end. She stood in the middle of the hall, trapped by both ends keeping her sides to the front of each man to keep her on alert.

The men took out their small handguns and pointed them to her. “Alright, mutant. We are part of the United States Government and you are coming with us,” the one close to the stairwell said as he walked towards her. Seeing the major threat as him, she turned her back towards the others and looked at him angrily as he walked up to her, saying no words, just staring right at him. Seeing their partner taking control of Felicia, the other two let down their guard. But to their surprise, she let out a swift kick to the guy’s groin and then kicked him in the head, making him fall to the ground completely unconscious. Without wasting another second, she took off running towards the stairwell hoping that her move caught the others off guard and would take them longer to respond. But not as long as she hope, as she reached the door for the stairwell she heard a loud gun shot and then she felt a sharp sensation of pain hitting her right upper back, making her almost fall against the stairs’ railing.  A warm sensation fell all over her as she felt the blood moistening her sweater. “Damnit,” she said as she gripped the railing with her hand, struggling to get up the stairs but the men caught up with her.

April pulled up next to the building in the parking lot to pick up Felicia that night. She saw six men walk out of the building in trench coats towards a black van that was parked in front of her. Two of them were carrying Felicia who was now in handcuffs, the whole backside of her sweater was stained with blood. April let out a gasp, seeing the horrible sight in front of her and reached over to get her turtle comm.. But decided to wait when she saw one of the men approaching her news van. “Ma’m, this is official government business. I am going to have to ask you to leave the premises right now,” the man said as he held out his badge.

April looked over seeing the men putting Felicia in the van; she had a gag in her mouth as well. Knowing she couldn’t let them leave with her! “But…”

“Ma’m, I am ordering you again. Please leave the area or we will force you to move,” the man said again more sternly this time.

She sighed and put the van in drive and went around the dark van and out of the parking lot. But as she did so, she reached for her turtle communicator and then glanced over seeing the men getting in the dark van, knowing her time was running out now.

In the lair, the turtles were decorating for Christmas.  Raphael walked into the living room and smelt a strong stench in the air. "What is that smell?" he asked out loud as he held his nose and surveyed the area. He then saw Michelangelo nailing one of his socks to the wall. "Um, excuse me. Just what the heck are you doing?," he said as he approached him.

"Well I read in this book where these little kids hung up their stockings and this big guy in a red suit came in during the night and gave them a bunch of presents in it!," Mike said as he smiled real big. "Won't that totally awesome? I have 3 extra ones for all you guys as well!"

"Can we pretend we never met?," Raph grinned as he walked away from Mike, shaking his head as his childishness.

"Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!," a familiar voice said as they walked into the lair. It was Donatello wearing a red Santa suit and a hat with a beard. "Like my outfit guys?"

"Whoa totally cool! It's Santa Clause!" Mike exclaimed as he became all giddy and rushed quickly over to him. "Did you bring me my new surfboard?"

"Whoa cool it, Michelangelo. It's me," Don said as he pulled down his beard to show him that it was he.

"Not cool at all, dude!," Mike frowned as he walked off towards his room, Raphael was on the ground bawling with laughter.

Don looked over at Leo who was decorating a small pine tree in the corner of the room and then Raph on the ground. "Hey guys, guess what I am going to do this year?"

"You are going to put on that outfit and scare all the criminals?," Raph grinned as he stood back up.

"No. I am going to help out with the Channel 6 Children's Christmas Party on Christmas Day. April asked me to play Santa," grinned Don as he started to remove his hat and suit.

Suddenly there was a beeping noise indicating that someone was trying to contact them on the turtle communicator. Leonardo grabbed his off his belt. "Leonardo here."

"Guys, I have some bad news for you," April said sadly over at the other end.

"What's wrong, April?" he asked as he noticed Donatello walk to his room to put away his costume.

“Some government men captured Felicia from the college and took her in a black van,” April replied as she pulled into a parking lot nearby to keep tabs on the van.

"Great," Leo gloomily said, wondering on how Donatello will react. "Thanks, April. Try to stay on that van but be careful."

"What is it, Leonardo?," Raph asked as he walked over to Leonardo who was putting away his communicator.

"Come on, we need to tell Donatello," Leo said as he walked towards their bedrooms.

"Tell him what?," Raph asked as he followed.

Donatello was humming "Jingle Bells" softly in his head as he put away his Santa Suit in the second drawer of his dresser. He shut the door and walked towards the entrance of the room but saw Leo and Raph waiting for him, with sad looks on their faces. "What is it, guys?"

“Some government officials have taken Felicia and April’s following them,” Leonardo replied, looking at Don straight in the eyes.

"What?! Well what are we waiting for? Let's haul shell!," he cried out as he grabbed his bo, which was leaning against the wall and ran towards the entrance of the lair with his brothers in pursuit.

April followed the van as close as she could and saw the van park up at a Holiday Inn where nearby in the empty part of the parking lot sat a Huey Military helicopter. The men quickly abandoned the van, carrying Felicia with them and fled into the helicopter. “Oh no!!!,” April cried out seeing the Huey turning on its propellers.

The Turtle Van at that moment pulled up beside April. Donatello had traced April’s whereabouts by using the homing device on the turtle communicator. Leonardo and the others ran over to April. “Okay, April. Where is she?”

“She’s in that helicopter and they are about to take off!,” April cried out as she saw the helicopter starting to lift up some.

“Not if I have anything to say about it!,” Donatello yelled out as he took off after the helicopter.

“Donatello, no!,” Leonardo screamed after him.

Donatello jumped up and grabbed the chopper’s ski bar and held tightly as it lifted off into the night sky, carrying him. “I am not leaving you, Felicia!!!”

“Whoa, does he think he’s James Bond or something?,” Raphael asked as he stood there, completely stunned.

“After him!,” Leonardo ordered as he got back in the van, his brothers joined him and the van squealed off down the road in pursuit of the helicopter.

Donatello growled out as he held his grip tightly on the bar and braced the heavy impact of the wind against him from the speed of the chopper. One of the men looked down and spotted him. “We’ve got trouble. Somebody tagged along!” he said as he pointed down to Donatello. The one beside the large side door, slid the door open and reached out to take aim at Donatello with his handgun.

“Uh-oh!,” Donatello cried as he saw the guy aim at him and dodged the bullets. Clenching his teeth together as he tried to hold his grip as he evaded the shots.

Leonardo kept his attention at the road while Michelangelo looked out the window, Raphael kept track with the radar screen in the back. “Oh man! Our pal is a sitting turtle! We have to do something or he will get seriously injured up there!” Michelangelo shouted back to his brothers.

“Then let’s fight fire with fire!” Raphael stated as he positioned the two firing canons on top of the van at the helicopter.

“Don’t, Raphael! We can’t fire at them! They are part of the government!,” Leonardo yelled back at Raph, getting pretty tense himself. Sweat started to form on his face as he gripped the wheel tighter.

“Hey when they mess with Donatello, they mess with us!” Raphael shouted to Leo as he pressed the firing button, hitting the helicopter on the back tail, causing it to shift some.

“We have to get out of here or they are going to shoot us down!,” the co-pilot shouted. “Let’s put this turtle back into its water!” The pilot nodded and banked hard left, heading straight towards the harbor.

“I think we scared them off,” Raph said as he sat back from the console. “That’s what they get when they mess with the boys in green!”

“But still they have our bud!” Michelangelo argued with a worried look on his face.

“They seem to be heading towards the harbor!” Leonardo added as he turned sharply to the left, heading straight towards the harbor road.

“Get down as low as to the water as possible,” the co-pilot stated to the pilot. The helicopter started to go down, making Donatello become completely in the water, holding for dear life onto the ski bar. Gasping and coughing for air from the impact of the water hitting his face, Don was determined not to let go.

The Turtle Van stayed on the road, going at about the same pace of the helicopter.   “Donatello, you have to let go that thing!,” Leonardo shouted over to him.

     Donatello coughed, “No way!!”

“You are going to get killed doing that!,” Leonardo argued back.

“I am not leaving her!!!,” Don screamed back as his entire head went under the water then came back up.

“This is hopeless,” Leonardo growled through his teeth as he punched the accelerator making the van become ahead of the chopper. When they were way ahead of the chopper, he stopped the van and all of them got out. “Michelangelo, try to wrap Don’s leg with your grappling!”

“With mucho gusto oh fearless leader!,” Michelangelo replied as he twirled his grappling hook and then tossed it towards the direction of Donatello when he came by. With pinpoint accuracy, the grappling wrapped around Don’s leg, holding onto to it tightly, the line starting to tighten.

Leo and Raph grabbed onto the rope behind Michelangelo. “Now everyone, pull!” The three turtles strained as they pulled on the rope, successfully getting Donatello’s grip off of the ski bar making him crash into the water and then the chopper took off into the night sky.

Donatello swam over to the shore where his brothers stood and got up. He looked at them with a sad look upon his face, then without saying a word he started to walk his way towards the turtle van.

About an hour late in the lair, April and Splinter heard the turtles walking into the lair. April went to the lair after the turtles contacted her to tell what happened.  They stood there in the middle of the living room, seeing the sad looks on Leonardo’s and Raphael’s faces that entered first followed by Michelangelo who was shedding some tears. Finally Donatello followed with the saddest look on his face. His face was a mixture of anger, sadness and failure. Tears slid down his face but he tried not to break up and to be strong like Splinter had always taught him. Seeing Don’s immense sadness, April couldn’t help but to shed tears as well not only for his loss but her loss too since Felicia was her friend. Seeing April starting to cry, Leonardo walked over to comfort her. “I’ll be okay…,” she told Leo as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She looked up at Donatello and walked over to him, placing her hand on his shoulder. “It’s going to be okay, Donatello..”

Donatello sighed sadly and looked down, trying to hide his pain at the moment. Trying to act like it was okay but deep down inside he was still troubled.

“I have something for you,” she said gently. She walked out of the living room and into another room then came back carrying a brown picnic basket with a green blanket over it.

Donatello smiled gently at her and then frowned again, “Thanks, April. But I am not hungry.”

“No, this is Felicia’s present she was going to give you,” April said almost grinning for the thought of knowing what it was.

“Pizza?,” Michelangelo asked as his eyes brightened up, the thought of pizza easing his pain at the moment.

April placed the basket on the table and beckoned to Don to come over. Don shrugged and walked over, looking at the basket curiously. As he approached the basket, he thought he noticed the blanket moving. At first he thought it was his imagination but then he saw it again. “What the heck?” He took off the blanket and there inside the basket on another blanket was a small white turtle baby who was about five months old. Don jumped back quickly, his heart pounding rapidly.

Mike looked down, “What is it?”

“It’s a baby, dimbo!,” Raph said, giving Michelangelo a mean look.

“Aww it’s cute,” Leo said smiling.

Don looked at April confusedly. “I don’t understand.”

April smiled softly, “Felicia stayed at my place for a year. Another reason why she left was because she was pregnant and she didn’t want to tell you.”

Donatello grew almost as white as the child. “Pregnant? But how?”

“Oh come on, Mr. Wizard. You of all people should know about biology.,” Raph grinned, crossing his arms. Splinter smiled looking up at Donatello.

“My uncle at the hospital was her labor doctor and she did fine. The baby has albinism as well, remarkably,” April said. “So what are you going to name her?”

“Her? Hmm…,” Don said, stuttering a little, still shocked from everything. “I’m not too good on naming things. Why don’t you decide, Splinter?”

Splinter bowed gently at him. “Very honorable, Donatello.” He looked down at the baby turtle who was wide-awake and looking at them all. “I think that that since she has a coral color in her eyes that we should call her ‘Sango’.”

Donatello smiled and nodded his head in approval. He looked over at April. “Can I hold her?”

“Hey, it’s your child,” she smirked at him.

Don picked up Sango gently and held her, looking at her. His eyes filled with tears. She was so small and so soft.  No words were said but deep inside by looking into his child, he felt terrible pain. He couldn’t hold it any longer. “April, please take her. I-I can’t do this right now.” April took the baby from him and looked at Don curiously.

Don sniffed as he wiped his eyes. “You okay, Donatello?,” Splinter asked.

“Yeah..I just need to be alone for a while. I am going to my workshop,” replied Donatello as he walked off towards his room.

“Yo dudes, I think she likes me!,” Michelangelo exclaimed as he held the baby and made faces which made Sango coo.

“Why not? She has the same brain size as you,” Raph grinned over at Mike.

Mike gave him a mean look. “Very funny, dude. I think it’s pizza time for this little dudette.” He held Sango as he walked into the kitchen with her.

“Michelangelo, wait!,” April said as she followed him. “Babies don’t eat pizza!”

Raph looked over at Leo who couldn’t help but laugh. Splinter watched his pupils walk into the kitchen and shook his head. He was happy that Don’s brothers are trying to be happy in this time of sorrow but right now he worried about Donatello. He just hoped

that maybe his new child would lift up his spirits some.
