~E-V-E-N-T-S~
The events for this year have come to a close, much too soon of course, but it wasn't a half bad year. We've become a pretty tight knit group and gotten to know each other pretty well with respect to more than just cars. Here are some things that have been accomplished this year, along with a list of members and highlights of events:
- Three new members.
- Sean joined with his newly purchased 1986 Monte Carlo LS CL.
- Derek joined from Roanoke after finding us on the internet. He has an 86 SS, an 87 LS, and his Mom even has a 5th Gen Z34!
- Boyd bought Jason K's 85 SC from him and joined. We still love you Jason...
- Getting cars and getting faster cars.
- I purchased an 84 SS. I swear guys, I can fix it!!
- Dan may have pulled a short disappearing act, but he is now the owner of a brand new 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT and plans on using it as his driver. Meanwhile, the Mighty Mouse is being born...
- Alex swaps in the ZZ4 to back up the car's looks and top the car off at over $20,000 invested.
- The "Project SS" build begins using Derek's SS.
- Internet.
- Internet members section coming soon.
- Average number of visitors to the site per day is steadily growing.

A few pictures sometime soon.
Super Chevy
We will plan on attending this event in Virginia next year. Jason got some pictures this year, and claims there were only 3 Montes there. Clean cars.
October 18th Test and Tune
Most everyone's car was down already at this point, but Morgan showed up in his Firebird and ran several tire smoking 9.8's with headers and control arms, much better than his previous 11.6 when he was burning the tires the entire 660'. Jason pulled a best of 11.4 in his 94 Civic DX. My car fell flat on its face with 3 10.8's in a row, .7 slower than my last consistent 10.1 runs on the old tranny. Jason and Boyd both got to try their luck the first two runs with my car, I ran it the third time. Even if 2nd gear hadn't of been crapping out, the 60's were embarrassing. lol I think there are one or two pictures on their way.
October Cruise In
Pretty dead for the most part, but those who were there got to see Shaun and his big block 87 Aerocoupe. I also passed out everyone of my cards for Club Monte, and got to talk to quite a few guys we've never seen before.
