I couldn’t make it back to the surface, my whole body went limp. Then I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist and take me back up. “Cindy, Cindy, are you okay?” I heard a soothing voice. AJ was the one who saved me, he was cradling me in his arms. “Yeah, I’m fine,” I choked out. “You saved me, you saved my life.” AJ had a big smile across his face, “I’m sorry for pushing you, you said that you…” I was looking deep into his eyes, I saw the love that he had and felt it. I really did have a thing for him, I had just blocked it out. “You didn’t have to make a scene and jump in after me.” I yelled. “Umm, your welcome.” He said. “That wasn’t a thank you.” He sighed. “Umm, I think I have had enough of swimming for today.” I grabbed my towel and my shades and went towards the hotel elevator. AJ was still kneeling on the ground in a daze. “Hey Cindy, wait up.” He called and ran after me.
"Cindy, wait a sec.” “What do you want?” “I want to ask you out, come and have dinner with me tonight.” “No, I will not have dinner with you.” “Oh, okay.” He said with a look of disappointment. The elevator door closed and took me upstairs to my room. He went back to the pool. “What happened Bone?” asked Howie. “I asked her out.” “Way to go Bone!” said the guys in unison. “So where are you gonna take her?” asked Kevin. “She didn’t accept.” “Oh, sorry man.” Said Howie. “I don’t know what to do to get her to like me.” “Hey man, I gotta idea, I met a girl earlier today and we are going out tomorrow tonight, I can ask Cindy if she would come along.” “Would you do that for me? Thanks so much man.”
