Happy Are Thy Servants
1 Kings 10:8
Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear
thy wisdom.
These are the servants of Solomon, seen by the queen of Sheba.
I can imagine joy, peace and things in order. People working endlessly showing great abundance and
peace of mind. Servants working in things they cherish. Servants totally equipped for their jobs and in
fact overpaid!
1 Kings 10:4-5
4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,
5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and
their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD;
there was no more spirit in her.
Here Solomon's ministers and cupbearers are described serving their king with loving affection. It
literally took the queen's breath away who reported the truth of Solomon's wisdom.
How could we ever have such surroundings? What king is greater than Solomon? Here are the words
of Jesus-
Matthew 12:42
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for
she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater
than Solomon is here.
Do you want great peace? Be a servant of the King.
Do you want awesome joy? Be a servant of the King.
Do you want to hear true wisdom? Be a servant to the King
Do you want to be overpaid? Be a servant to the King.
Keep in mind that training isn't always easy, but we don't have to go to the uttermost parts of the
earth for this King's wisdom. He stands knocking at your heart's door. KING JESUS the lover of our
souls!
