This is the 1.6 shell i found locally which already had a modified front section, but needed replacing.

The bootlid had been smoothed out but was a little rusty in places, so it required some work to it.

Getting ready to strip the car of all the parts which need removing/replacing.

Here is the centre exit exhaust cut into the rear valance but needs welding.

Rust on the right hand rear arch, not much major welding for the new bodyshell.

A picture of the left hand side of donor engine bay with most of the parts off. Only the steering rack was to be kept on to keep it mobile.

The engine bay was in good shape and didn't need any major work to the inner wings.

I have cut off the Astra dash mounts, as they block the fitment of the BMW dash which will go back in from my original modified GTE.
