Most flush tailgates leave the number plate until last then add it on. I decided to flush the number plate into the car so it was flush with the plate on, so marking centre for the fitment of the rear number plate.

Then it was to cut into the panel the shape of the rear number plate and get it to the right depth to be flush.

Smoothing the tailgate with the number plate in place so it would be a perfect fit, Then rubbing down until it is the right depth.

The wiper panel/rain run off has also been smoothed out as I was looking to do something different with it.

With the windscreen removed and the bonnet on checking how it suits the car.
