Goals:
To preserve, enhance and
perpetuate the American cultural tradition of artistry
and craftsmanship in woods.
To promote wider community
interest in woodcarving as an art form and craft through
demonstrations and educational activities
To provide guidance and assistance
to beginners and experienced alike
To create opportunities for
fellowship with others who share an interest in carving
- regardless of sex, race, age, religious beliefs, or
level of carving experience
To give the general public
opportunities to experience the visual and tactile joys
unique to feel and appearance of functional or
decorative wood carving.
