This page and poem are dedicated
to a wonderful sweet spirit.
Whom is fighting a battle with cancer.
This is for you Jean.

It is with great sorrow that
I add this. Our beautiful sweet
friend Jean lost her battle with
cancer January 23, 2001. Though
our hearts are heavy. The angels
surely are singing a welcome home
to one of their own.

Jean's Light

by SunRae ©2000

Like a candle in a window
With a welcome home glow
I open the door to find you
wrapping me in a smile I know.

Like the warmth of a fire
when I come in from the cold
Your arms are there waiting
my heart to embrace and hold

In a world that's all aglow
Jean's Light is a small light
But lites the path of darkness
As do the infinite stars of night.

It is said that the flame from one candle
can light the world.
Jean's light has not only lite the way
of many paths, but in addition has
warmed many hearts.
Jean's light has ignited the flame
of love in the heart of a man, lost before
knowing her. That flame has endured and
built into a roaring fire. Many rain
showers of strife and hardships of life
have not extinquished that flame.
Her light survived the pain of childbirth
and gave new life to the world. Her light
lives on thru her children. Children
who can pass Jean's Light on to the next
generation.
Jean's light thought by some to be dimming,
is carried like the olympic torch and
continues to light the flames of friendship,
honesty, respect, quiet determination,
pride, bravery and great undying love.

God watch over your sweet spirit Jean.
I know the light of friendship you ignited
in this heart will never go out.
