My Precious Friend
By: SunRae copyright 2001
My precious friend
Of gifts rare
Of gifts to treasure
There is friendship
Locked away from sight
Held back from view
Something so precious It is seen by but a few
Non-tangible
Yet priceless even
with age
You can carry it
with you where ever
You go. You need
No lock box to keep it
Yet it's worth more
Than purest gold Your friendship is a
Precious gift I
Carry in my heart
It is one that won't
Be sold or wasted away
Even when we're apart
Another poem written for my friend Donna on New Years 2001. Thanks for being my precious friend.
