As she runs her icy
Fingers through your skin
With laughter scattered
On the northern wind
Speaking in silvered tongues
Shivering, undistinguishable moans
Creeping slowly capturing earth
White, grey, blue ice tones
Mysterious proclamations prelude
Origins of her seasonal birth
Blanket covers with snowy white fluff
Keeping the annual hiatus of earth
Diamond, sapphire, ice castles rare
Lacy webs of intricate design
Molded, shaped by goddess cold
Artwork, elusive one of a kind
In the end Winter gives up her grasp
To the sprite fairies of spring
Frozen tears falling once more
Moistening the newborn grass
