November 9, 2001
There
has been a request from one girl to have the initial training for the LIT pin.
Mrs. Davis is qualified to give this training so it will be at the November 26
meeting. For more information on this recognition, look in the Senior Handbook
on page 73. If you are interested contact
Mrs. Davis by November 16 otherwise the training for the one girl will be
done outside meeting time. This is the only time this initial training will be
given as Mrs. Davis’ training is expiring. You can do this training now even
if you are not sure whether or not you want to go for LIT, kind of like training
in the bank. Remember colleges love to see multiple leadership roles on the
applications.

We'll lay them out and exchange cookies. Hopefully you will make it

cider while we socialize.

Mrs. Wolfe needs to know how many are interested and for what times. Email Mrs. Davis by November 29 with your “reservation”. This is open to all girls (and moms on a space available basis but go ahead and make the reservation now) and if there is a cost it will be minimal (less than $5.00).
Here are some events TOGA has scheduled that may be of interest to some of you and will be done as a troop if there is enough interest:
Ø Emergency Preparedness IP – possible workshop on “Being Prepared” for emergencies
Ø Whitetail Ski trip – The trip this year will again be individuals only (not troop). It is on the Monday, January 28, 2002 (the teacher workday). If you are interested contact Mrs. Davis (by email is fine) and she will provide details. Registration will be due the first week in December and Mrs. Davis will take care of it.
Life Skills Workshop February 3, 2002 (2:00 – 5:00) at Trinity Presbyterian Church – Learn some life skills that will come in handy when you go off to college. This sounds like a must for every girl.
Also,
are any of you interested in going to Baltimore to spend the night
on the Coast Guard Cutter Taney this spring? This Coast Guard Cutter
survived Pearl Harbor and is the only ship still afloat from Pearl Harbor Cost
is around $40 -Possible date is Friday, April 12th,. as
