Next Meeting Monday September 25

This meeting will be the only planning meeting for the October 6 fundraiser.

Change to September 16 Career Planning Meeting

The time has slipped from a start of 6 to 6:30. Make sure scouts eat before the event as no food can be served in the meeting room.

Wider Ops

Everyone should have received a catalog in the mail sometime in august. Mrs. Davis has registration forms if you are interested. Unfortunately most are in July when we are in Mexico.

Quilting Show

Girls Scouts are invited to attend and participate in Cabin Branch Quilters quilting Show on October 7 ( 10 am – 5 pm) and October 8 ( 12 – 4 pm) at Lake Ridge Middle School. See attached sheet. The girls may enjoy making a quilt in the future for a service project so this would be an excellent introduction. This can be a fun group activity and can help many organizations.

Girls Scout Shop

The mini-shop is open again in Centreville:

September 18 – October 30 the hours are:

Mondays: 10 am – 4 pm

Thursdays: 4 – 8 pm

Saturdays: 9 – 1 pm

  November 6, 13, 20 & 27 and December 4, 11, & 18

Monday s only: 10 am – 8 pm

Girls interested in service hours, they can count for item 5 in the challenge, can volunteer to work. Contact Mrs. Amsbaugh at email sudgs@aol.com. She is the head of TOGA.

.

Calendar Sales

Both the wall and pocket calendars are back. If you are interested they are $4.00 for wall and $3.00 for pocket. The girl profit per calendar is $1.50. Give Mrs. Davis a check and number of each type ordered by September 25.

Product Sales

Mrs. Sullivan will continue with cookies but is willing to pass on the duties of SHARE and QSP. I need to know by tonight (September 11) if you want SHARE as there is a meeting tomorrow night at 7 for the SHARE coordinator. Mrs. Sullivan will continue with these two if no one else is interested.

Adult Training

Any adults interested in training Mrs. Davis has the new calendar. Over the summer Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Irvin and Mrs. Tatariw took Senior training and Mrs. Nathanson completed backpacking certification.  We could use some more First Aiders.
