Kathleen Kennedy is a self taught artist. Having taught herself the foundation skills of drawing and painting she pursued a study of human and animal anatomy. After reaching a level of proficiency she sought the instruction of master artists who helped her refine her skills to the level of professionalism.She has studied with the nationally known and respected portrait artists Daniel Greene and Margaret Baumgaertner. Kathleen has been professionally painting portraits, pet portraits and "portraits" of people's homes for 10 years. She is an ongoing student at the Studio School of the Virginia Fine Arts Museum and a member of the Portrait Society of America.
