John H. Wilz's photo album

This photo album is from the personal collection of Captain John H. Wilz who served with the Anti-Tank platoon 1st Bn, 376th Infantry.  His family has been gracious enough to let me use the photographs for the They Served With Honor's website. Click on the thumbnail photographs below to view enlarged picture.

Lt. John Wilz, in Ayl, Germany, February 1945, the day before he was wounded crossing the Saar.

Brittany, France - "Brittany was a forgotten part of the war. We had 50,000  German Troops encircled and didn't want to expend lives and equipment to capture them, so it was a peaceful war. We would send daily patrols and they (the Germans) would send daily patrols. Once in a while there would be a shooting. All the Chow times and Card games were at this time."
