The Catoctin Quartet played for the Loudoun Ballet's silent auction in March of 2001. We had a wonderful time, and the graciousness and appreciation shown by the Ballet was so warm. They thanked us many times in many ways. Two of our members were unable to perform that day. Valerie had a previous commitment and Jean had to be in Ireland (poor thing). We asked two of our friends, Patrick and Alicia, to join us. To our great joy, they agreed. The Ballet did a wonderful job with their silent auction. I think this was their first one of this calibur. It was held in the Lightfoot Restaurant in Leesburg. This was my first time there and I was delighted to see how elegant their new location is.
