Two Rainbows Meet

Two rainbows meet in dramatic array,
Seeing each other in similar light,
They reach across the heaven's display
Outstretched in seemlingly parallel flight.

But beyond the horizon they impetuously wonder,
Is there a spot where their two paths will meet?
Bursting spectrum dazzling assunder?
Or will union create a new bow replete?

Or is this arch but a gateway to heaven
To that throne, that terrible, lofty, high seat.
Here sits the Lord where his gifts are given
And His marvelous judgments righteously mete.

There on tomorrow's edifice show
What two great loves scarce dare to know
