The kitchen was probably the worst room in the house. Aside from being old and out-dated, everything was covered in muck from old food and mildew from the back door being kicked in.
Obviously, the first task was to secure the house, which meant replacing the door. We choose a steel French door that lets in more light. We removed the florescent lights and drop ceiling and installed the chandelier. We scrubbed, sanded and painted the cabinets, walls, and ceiling, installed an island, new counters, sink, gen-air, dish washer, garbage disposal and refrigerator, and tiled the floor. In 2003, we replaced the built-in double ovens. | |||
