Merlin the Enchanter, was the advisor to King Uther Pendragon and later his son King Arthur. Merlin turned Uther into the image of Gorloisso that Igraine would beget Arthur. It was Merlin who warned Arthur, early on in his reign that Guenevere and Lancelot would betray him. Merlin taught Arthur's half sister Morgan Le Fey the Necromatic Arts. But it was another student of Merlin's, Nimue, who imprisoned him in a rock in Cornwall.
Merlin's Coat of Arms have as yet to be found, however it would more than likely be the following.;
Sable, a fess Argent,three owls Argent.
In the Arthurian saga, there were three Ladies of the Lake. Viviane was the French Lady of the Lake, who raised and trained Lancelot. Ninueve is attributed with giving Arthur the sword Excalibur, and who was killed by Sir Balin. Nimue, a student ofMerlin's, replaced Ninueve and eventually imprisoned Merlin in a rock in Cornwall. While for the most part considered good, the Ladies of the Lake were first and foremost pagan, and tried to stop the spread of Christianity, which put them at odds with Arthur from time to time.
The Lady of the Lake does not have a Coat of Arms. This design is based on what it may look like;
Azure, a sealion Argent, six sea shells, on a tressure, counterpointed Argent.
