EZ Clone Tutorial for Signature Graphics (CFile 2002)

Get the Strawberry Tube here: strawberry_creamy.tub

1. Open up new blank canvas (400 X 400)
2. In seperate canvas, open up /choose graphic that you want to use for texture in letters... (In this instance I opened up my strawberry tube.. the letters I wanted to be matching the strawberry)
3. Add text on blank canvas. Click on the "A" tool & select font & write in your text. (I used INSANIBURGER WITH CHEESE size 72, floating, dark grey as stroke color, light grey as fill color, antialias checked, floating checked). "Okay"
4. Center text with mover tool '+'.
5. Go to "Selections", select "Modify" then "Expand" for 4 pixels. "Okay"
6. With flood fill tool, make this white.
7. With ants still marching, go to effects, 3D, Inner Bevel. "Okay"
8. Go to layer & add Raster layer.
9. Use font tool again & redo name/text .. (It should already be there from before). Center it using moving tool above, the white inner bevel layer.

10. Here comes the Cloning: The clone tool is located under the paint brush icon. (It has a quill pen with paint brush as the icon.) Select clone tool. Go to opened graphic file. With your right mouse button click on the area you want to fill the letters with (it will reflect a circle with an x in it.) Now go to your canvas that has the letters marching. Left click your mouse & drag over the letters. You have to do this multiple times until you get it filled in correctly. Keep going back to your graphic & start to the far right & right click to get the clone circle x then go back to the name canvas & left click again until the name is fully covered with your texture. The clone follows as you drag. if you get texture from the graphic in a spot that you don't want just keep going back over it. (I had to do this many times as the cream & the strawberry stem kept getting in the way!)

11. Once the text is filled in the way you want it, while the marching ants are still there, again go to effects>3D>inner bevel & bevel the text. "Okay"
12. Go to layer tool, & merge visable layers.
13. Go to effects, 3D, drop shadow for shadow effect. "Okay"
14. Add raster layer.
15. Add tubes where you want.
16. Go to layers, Merge all visable
17. Save as gif. Done!
