Found a mention of origin of this picture in the Forrest City Times Newspaper, see Below: Captain James V.Fussell (prominent Businessman and Banker of Forrest City) presented this picture to the Knights of Pythias Lodge named after General Forrest. It had belonged to his father in law, Mr.Matthew Galloway of Memphis Appeal Newspaper in Memphis Tennessee, who served during the Civil War on Gen.Forrest's staff. He was the Postmaster in Memphis at outbreak of the Civil War. For more information, see his grave in Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.
4-29-1898 - Picture of Gen.Forrest Given - - - - - Mrs.Galloway, widow of the late Col.M.C.Galloway, of Memphis, has presented a picture of General Forrest to the Knights of Pythias lodge of this city and has been hung in the lodge named for him. It was presented by James Fussell, son in law of Col. and Mrs.Galloway.
