How long does leprosy last?
|
Leprosy, treated, can last from six to twenty-four months.
If taking medicine, pauci-bacillary, a type with not many bacteria, will go away in six months. For multi-bacillary, with medicine, it will take 12-24 months to disappear (see "Symptoms" page). Without medicine, leprosy is permanent.
