Corps, it is with the saddest regret that I inform you of the death of COL Hammond's job.
No more shall we ever be graced by his mass electronic messages to the Corps ever again. His computer was found smashed to tiny bits at his desk. It was rumored that at the time of incident he was working on another Corps-wide message.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to him and the Corps. Since the incident COL Hammond will most likely be forced into retirement. It is a sad, sad day, we shall lower the flag to half-mast in honor of his dead job.
"Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, in sure and certain hope of the resurrection..."
