VMI and Nietzsche
Matriculation at VMI is a milestone in a human’s life. Upon entering the Institute, everything that gave that person status is erased, and they are reduced to nothing, not even a cadet, only a “Rat”. From this breakdown they are rebuilt into something better, a VMI man or woman. During this time of training and indoctrination, formerly known as “The Ratline”, the Rat evolves from sub-human species to a machine that can recite required knowledge instantly and perform actions almost robotically.
There are several different classifications for Rats: Permit-worms, Gim-riders, weak-bodies, tools, spazs, and the final classification – the die Uber Ratte or “The Super Rat”. The normal rat is known for his ability to survive by hiding in his or her dyke’s room, sneak MP3s and AIM onto their computers, maybe watch a movie with their BRs on a Friday night when Cadre are taking a weekend, but the die Uber Ratte does not.
The die Uber Ratte (Super Rat) meets the following qualifications:
1) Does not let humanity or society influence their judgments at all
2) Always evolving to learn more about themselves by sleeping on their racks without hays (sleeping on a hay is a privilege not a right for them).
3) Joy does not come from normal human pleasures but from drill, rifle manual, shining shoes and brass, cleaning their rifle, and making their room and desk not only immaculate but in perfect order (i.e. everything on the desk has a precise measurement in correlation to other items).
4) Do not believe in God or any being thereof, only the GC, RDC, OGA, and most importantly the HC presidents.
5) Shows no emotion for they believe emotion is for the weak.
6) Shows reason that is not from humanity or religion or society from the charters given to them from various committees and the “Rat Bible”.
This new evolution in Rats shows a turning point in humanity – a great change for the better, to create educated and honorable men and women to spread wisdom and cleanse the nation of free-thinkers and idealists.
